"We smashed Whole Foods because we are against capitalism in all its forms."

Morons. Apparently have never seen a Soviet-era grocery store, noteworthy for the empty shelves and bins throughout the store. https://t.co/dkOW0Ggx4d https://t.co/9rh1leRaRo

Speaking of grocery stores, capitalism, and socialism, Venezuela gives a whole new definition to the term, dollar stores.

Say what, Joey Butterfingers? would you be so kind as to spell out what you would have done differently and be specific.

I've been waiting for a specific rundown of what Joe Biden would have (or could have) done differently in the face of an onrushing potential pandemic, given the mood of the time.
This is classic Monday Morning Quarterbacking. Hindsight is always 20/20 - pun intended.

You will never get someone who has been fed by a government program for decades to believe that you and your possessions matter.

Speaking of toxic identity politics, I see the Browns vs Bengals game restricted the stadium to only 6,000 fans - and they STILL got into a drunken brawl.

Doncha just love the recent trend of white people berating other people on behalf of black people?
Two black people allegedly shoplifted merchandise from a CVS and the manager called the police. So, this social justice warrior grabbed her phone and her self-righteousness and sprang into action, berating the manger for risking the black people's lives by calling the police on them. You know, 'cause the police love nothing better than to beat up on some black people.
With condescension dripping from her voice, she even got in a dig at what to her was the manager's puny salary.
Apparently the Twitter response to her tirade was mostly negative because she changed her named and made her account private.

As she said, 'That isn't your property. It is the store's property.' Of course after the store has been looted clean it may not need clerks or a manager anymore.
I've said over and over we don't share a culture.
Ben at September 18, 2020 10:28 AM
And part of his responsibility as store manager is to protect the store's property, not the people stealing from the store.

The correct answer to this person in this situation would be you're going to pay for what they took? very nice of you. I'll tell the cops to lay off the rubber hoses.
She wants someone else to pay for it? gotcha.
I've said over and over we don't share a culture.
The start of that is they don't know where their food comes from, or the effort necessary to bring it to their table. As a society, we've gone to far insulating people from their poor choices that they only remember this portion of Paul “I am allowed to do anything” but forget the other portion but not everything is good for you.

It's been over a week since the Large Hadron Collider announced they created W bosons by smashing a couple of photons together, and this energy-to-mass conversion discovery has me wondering:
Will we have Star Trek replicators on the shelves by Christmas?
Because I could REALLY use one.
Gog_Magog_Carpet_Reclaimers at September 18, 2020 2:20 PM
And you thought California was having blackout problems now. Just wait until they need enough energy to convert to enough food in order to feed the entire state AND enough energy to keep the lights on.
Conan the Grammarian at September 18, 2020 2:46 PM
Smashing capitalism sounds like so much fun...until you have to live under socialism. These people really should go live in N Korea for a few months, and not as guests, to see what it is like. Or Venezuela, or cuba. They have no clue.

I guess now we get to wait and see if the Biden rule applies this time. Wanna bet it won't?
Despite the political stakes, I do think McConnell is smart enough to realize when he's boxed himself in. Holding off could be beneficial to the Republicans' election chances, showing a principled party and stressing the urgency of voting Trump back into office rather than risking whatever nightmare a Harris administration (with Joe Biden as president) will nominate.
We'll see how they play it. I'm hoping they'll play it principled, but politicians are venal, so I'm not holding my breath.

Quick, remarkable vid.
I saw one of those guys lift off from a rooftop about ten feet away and three feet lower once. My abiding impression was that no matter how muscular the creature, how proud the transit or how provident the hunting ground, there are a limited number of launches in that airframe. It was a LOT of work.
