It's called "acting," not recreation of reality. It's why a British guy (@freddiehighmore) who plays a doc w/autism on "The Good Doctor" sounds exactly like an American guy. Had not a clue he was a Brit till they aired a pre-show statement w/him talking about COVID (as himself). pic.twitter.com/0NqcEou6hl

Then I suppose that anyone who plays Lennie in a production of "Of Mice and Men" will have to be mentally challenged? Gary Sinese would not be allowed to play Lt. Dan because he isn't a double amputee?
If so, then no one who is not an actual moron should be able to express an a critical opinion regarding Maddie Ziegler's casting. Oh, wait ...

In the future. Only overweight, wheelchair-bound, black lesbian amputees with vitiligo will be allowed to perform on movies/TV/theater/sing.

Hey!
Activist!
You're An Idiot.
(Cue George:) Oh, my!
I know some "actors" are woefully deluded about many issues they engage in the real world -- and that their conspicuity makes them appear to be at sea far more often than our good old hard-working waitresses at Waffle House.
But they DO have to be smart enough to FOOL YOU into thinking they are the real thing when in character, and those for whom you are the artifically-outraged third-party "victim's advocate" just flatly are not smart enough to do that.
No, they're not.
The rank and file at SAG does have those smarts, hundreds if not thousands are skilled at a surprising number of real-world things, and ya know? The capable people only bitch about the people who don't bring it, don't know their lines and hit their marks.
Go find some other poor class of object to hitch your outrage to. You're a parasite. Just like The Nanny's real-life support of the Green New Deal, you're choking yourself out with pure irony.
