This is state of so many restaurant owners and their employees --after restaurant owners spent big bucks on socially distanced outdoor dining. The CDC info on COVID spread that LA pols and Department of Public Health honcho Barbara Ferrer and her deputy lazily used to close restaurants was on INDOOR dining!

The lesson to be learnt here is that we need due process for business owners. We must revoke state and city officials' power to close a business at whim. Even in emergencies the burden needs to be on officials to prove a closure is really necessary and stays that way, or is immediately lifted, and they need to be personally liable for our losses plus removal from office if that fails to happen.
