Proving once again that Hollywood is absolutely chock-full of original woke ideas, Ta-Nehisi Coates is writing the screenplay for the next 'Superman' movie. JJ Abrams producing.
Expect the blame to be laid on novice Hannah Minghella, who has also been give the title of 'Producer'.

Car in the shop or something, about twenty-five years ago, and I was riding a bus on Wilshire. This black kid got on, maybe twenty, and he was carrying himself with the youthful uncertainty that transcends race. There was something sweet about him, and I remember how he took a seat, the wide kind over the wheel well, surveyed the surrounding area, and carefully set his stuff down beside him. As the bus stuttered between stops, he gingerly reached into the backpack and pulled out a comic book. I'll never forget the tenderness with which he held the back cover in his left hand, slowly flipping the leaves with his right, hovering to scan the panels with Talmudic intensity. When we got to his stop, he packed it away as if were an heirloom to be passed to another generation: That comic book was an investment.
I almost wept. This guy was not going to become senior in-house counsel for environmental remediation at DuPont. But he was learning how cheap fantasy could (and could not) lead his understanding of the world, just as I had when I was little... As has anyone who consumed pop culture in childhood.
A black writing a black superman — or writing a white one, for that matter — is easy to imagine.
What's difficult to imagine is Coates being the one to do it. Profitably. in 20-freaking-21.
Maybe it doesn't matter how much this movie costs, or whether it makes (or even loses!) money… It buffers Warner/AT&T from criticism for insufficient black hiring in top offices. And flattering the people who regard Coates as a gifted thinker is a nuanced stroke.

"Carbohydrates don't cause obesity."
So arrogant! For a large number of us they do.
Wonder why when I eat my fill of meat, dairy, FAT, and veggies without any limits or calorie counting, I immediately have way more energy and eventually lose all my belly fat. Oh, yeah, medically-verified markers of blood sugar and cholesterol also plummet to healthy levels.
But if I change over to limiting fat and adding even a medium number of carb grams per day---say,150 to 200, the weight comes flying back on, as if it were an evil curse from another dimension.

Six, that's fantastic tweet.
It echoes something that they say in Srinivasan podcast I've been begging people to listen to… Biden's got bombers flying over the Middle East just like old times, but By Gum, they're piloted by biracial lesbians.
(When the hosts are talking, go forward ten seconds until they've stopped.)
