It's BIOLOGICAL SEX that drives dif ways many treatments affect patients. Medicine/nutrients we put into our bodies do not notice or care how we "identify"!!!
Y'know, these fights may not even be worth having. It's like arguing with Creationists— You know that when it really hits the fan and they need medical care, they'll expect to be treated by someone with a strictly Darwinian understanding of life's workings.

Per amy's top tweet: in England, the NHS is to perform pelvic exams on trans M to F patients. They do not specify how this is to be done. They will NOT do prostate exams on same, which will end up killing some trans people. Meds even work differently in men and women as do their risks of different diseases. Sure, just go with gender identity in the hospital, what could go wrong?
