This is my home, and I love what Venice was before Dem pols let it go to ruin. I can't afford to move. I bought gel pepper spray and I'm hoping voters elect somebody who doesn't give criminals the run of the place.
Just noticing how quiet it is, how odd it is to not be assaulted by the usual screaming of addicts & med refusing mentally sick people camped outside my home... Then I realized, I'm not wearing my hearing aids.

So, yeah, Messi in the news.
Reading about foreign pro sports is like a visit to a Star Trek parallel universe.

I priced a U-haul one way rental from San Diego to north Florida, and the reverse. From here to there, it was about $900.
From there to here it was about $6,900. That's just for the truck.
Amy probably doesn't have a lot of stuff, and U-haul would be overkill. Her books are likely the biggest portion. For that, she could use USPS bag rate, and shove everything into the car and drive away.

I know a few people who have moved out of California recently. Whether they used movers or a rental truck, all of them found that the lack of return traffic made their move more expensive than it would have been only a few years ago.

Yeah, I know a few families leaving CA because of the fires.

Iowahawk runs that test now & then for Texas, though IIRC a more recent sample suggest Lone Star home prices might be dimming the fireworks.
