"Requiring weekly tests as a substitute for vaccination is doomed to fail because the Delta variant can turn someone from healthy to super-spreader in less than four days. The key to saving lives is vaccine. The key to reopening offices and factories is vaccine. The key to reopening schools is vaccine. The key to keeping bars and restaurants open in cold weather is vaccine. The key to travel and shopping is vaccine. Vaccine in everybody.”
Thing about anti-vaxxers is, there's no reason to think [they've] had any other of the vaccines that have kept so much misery at bay across my lifetime: The suffering from this malfeasance is potentially limitless.

I agree with you but I can’t see it happening. Here in Texas, I think people would be willing to go to war. If we could just bring people together.
I can’t believe that we are about to start a new school year with many of our students too young to get a vaccination and it is illegal for me to require masks in the classroom.

In the United States, this pandemic could’ve been over by now, and certainly would’ve been by Labor Day. If the pace of vaccination through the summer had been anything like the pace in April and May, the country would be nearing herd immunity. With most adults immunized, new and more infectious coronavirus variants would have nowhere to spread. Life could return nearly to normal.
Instead, we're told that BidenSomethingSomething, therefore public health can be disregarded.
The anger of the anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers is fully circuitous and autoerotic.

...and it is illegal for me to require masks in the classroom. ~ Jen at August 8, 2021 7:27 AM
How effective, in reality, would those masks really be at preventing infection? The political class, and its attendant public health experts, have destroyed their own credibility with inconsistent, and sometimes dishonest, messaging on masks and vaccinations.
Masks in any close quarters large gathering - i.e., a classroom - would likely be a good idea, even if of limited effectiveness.
The deep and extreme politicization of this virus has been counterproductive. That lack of consistency and honesty in messaging has eroded the public's faith in public health officials and government in general. That erosion of trust has widened fissures in our body politic.
For example, eviction moratoria were declared unconstitutional when enacted under Trump, but allowed by SCOTUS to stand until expiration in July, giving Congress enough time to act to renew them by law. Congress abrogated its duty to act and, instead, relied on the president to arbitrarily renew them, in defiance of SCOTUS' ruling, which Biden did.
A president readily and openly admitting that his arbitrary extension of those moratoria is unconstitutional followed by the widespread celebration by lawmakers of his own party of that unconstitutional action portends further blatantly unconstitutional actions by future presidents, of either party. The precedent has been established.

If you are vaccinated and have confidence that the vaccine works, why, exactly do you care if the kids are vaccinated or not?

To recap:
1. We were shooed into our homes with predictions of a pandemic like the Influenza of WWI - when even healthy young soldiers were dying.
2. Nowhere in the world has this happened.
- Nowhere have the seriously ill been more than tenths of a percent of the population.
- Nowhere have serious effects spread beyond the expected vulnerable groups - primarily those over 60 or with pre-existing conditions.
- Nowhere has anyone under 40 been affected in numbers that justify giving kids a still-experimental bioactive treatment.
3. Nowhere have lockdowns or masks significantly changed the course of the disease or the final tallies - we know this from neighboring states in Europe and the US that took radically different policy approaches, but have the same numbers at the end.
3. So what happened?
Every 6-10 years a sars/corona virus takes prominence over a flu strain as The Seasonal Bug.
It happened when Obama was president and - surprise - the press did not sow panic.
This year the media spun it into a "perfect storm" of propaganda, which served many of the Left's goals. The left is always looking for - or manufacturing - a "crisis" to justify a power grab and induce people to surrender their freedoms.
There never was a "pandemic" that justified the usurpation of power and the trampling of individual rights that we have seen. The apocalyptic predictions did not pan out - anywhere.

I was just reading about Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen receiving over $7 Million in speaking fees from various banks while inserting some noxious pro-bank verbiage into an upcoming crypto currency bill for their benefit.
Knowledgeable folk may have a better take on it, but frankly I'd like to see her handcuffed and frog-marched into court just for the so-called speaking fees.

"It was a topic here recently"
I remember doing some searching on norways rich. But when looking at one small city 300,000. it's not that surprising it didn't change. Land is a premium. There are probably only a few 'estates' there, so if your family owns one you stay. if you make a fortune to live the rich life you marry into the old money or if you want a mansion, you leave town to have one
Most people not wanting the covid "vaccine" are not your classic anti-vaxxers.
There are plenty of good technical medical reasons to be leery of the covid mRNA vaccines. Read the paper at the link.
And there are an almost endless list of political propaganda reasons why not to trust anything being said about the covid vaccines.
If the vaccines work, the vaccinated wouldn't care about the unvaccinated. If the vaccines don't work, there's no reason why the vaccinated should care about the unvaccinated.
