When it comes to food, our bodies lie to us constantly!

Your brain tells you you want gelato. I'm with him, I listen to my body. when I eat certain things, like carbs, I feel like crap physically. When I eat meat and greens, I feel good, physically. Didn't take long before my brain quit pavlov-dogging at the sight of chocolate and pasta. And I have our lovely hostess to thank, for helping me link the carbs and the crappy sluggish-all-the-time feeling.
I also haven't been hangry in years. My blood sugar is very stable.

I can't remember who said this, but it was something like "stop worrying about the junk food you're eating and worry instead about all the leafy greens you're NOT eating."
In other words, once you focus your guilt in the right direction, your body will crave junk food less, over time.

Exercise helps. Some say it just makes you hungry. It makes me hungry for the right things. I ran a lot in the Army, and while we were running 10-15 miles a week I pretty much lost my cravings for sweet things totally.
Unfortunately it can rear its ugly head again at a moment’s notice.

Exercise definitely changes the types of foods I want. Stress too. And sleeping habits.
