I Fucking Love J.K. Rowling
As my Quillette writer colleague Holly Ash puts it at NKB:
J.K. Rowling refuses to cave to the woke mob that wants to erase woman in the name of transgender ideology.
Her tweet:
War is Peace.
— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) December 12, 2021
Freedom is Slavery.
Ignorance is Strength.
The Penised Individual Who Raped You Is a Woman.https://t.co/SyxFnnboM1
Ash:
This lady gets it. Orwell would be proud. Then again, Rowling created a world in Harry Potter that showcases how authoritarianism and segregation occur in society. The very things she warned about by portraying the rise of the evil wizard Voldemort are now happening in our world today.
From the article Rowling shared:
Police have been criticised for saying they will record rapes by offenders with male genitalia as being committed by a woman if the attacker "identifies as a female".
Police Scotland said that they would log rapes as being carried out by a woman if the accused person insists, even if they have not legally changed gender.
...Twitter went haywire at Rowling's words, coming out en masse to [checks notes] defend rapists.
Rowling might be a billionaire, but her refusal to bow to the woke has left her inundated with death threats and threatened with excommunication from "high-class" society.

The activist class has, of course, deliberately mis interpreted her statement as an attack and claim she is calling all trans people rapists.

Rome, the British Empire and the USA would have fallen much faster, had "social media" given voice to every sort of idiocy during thir formative years.
This is why I do not fear the Borg. They would be too concerned with who 7 of 9 was assimilating, and if it was being done properly, to be effective.

If anyone and everyone can become a woman whenever they want then womenhood as a separate and distinct sex does not exist.

The Left lives in an abstract world devoid of actual humans. Thus if male prisoners claim to be a woman and want to transfer to the women's prison, they can't allow consideration of prisoners lying or assaulting women in the prison. The abstract "rights" of a favored group are all that matters.
In the case at hand, being assaulted by a "woman" may be a lesser crime than by a man, so this identification matters.

Dare I say it?
J.K. Rowling has balls!

Joe, I've noticed a lot of people, when accusing someone of something they've done, like to add a whole bunch of stuff they haven't done for good measure.
Like once you start making an accusation, even a true one, you can't stop and have to keep piling on no matter how absurd.
NicoleK at December 15, 2021 11:46 AM
Reality is absurd. Many people prefer a more understandable lie than deal with the chaotic nature of life.

Why would women's team coaches patriciate in this charade? Well, as one UPenn swimmer put it about the man competing as a woman on her team, "...pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this. Our coach [Mike Schnur] just really likes winning. He’s like most coaches.”
So, coaches like winning; and having a male-to-female trans-athlete on a women's team means the team has an edge?
I have a feeling that when the scholarships start going to male-to-female trans with almost no verification, therapy, or surgical requirements, we'll start hearing a different tune begin sung by the feminists who are currently calling JKR "transphobic." Unless, of course, calling men who claim to be women actual women benefits them in some financial way.

I agree, Conan, it's just a matter of time before she gets lauded as the hero who wouldn't take crap

NicoleK,
Thomas Sowell ("Barack of the Sixties: Random Thoughts on the passing scene" Sept. 4, 2007) said, "Although I am ready to defend what I have said, many people expect me to defend what others have attributed to me."
I think this covers the behavior you've described.

It's a great quote, thanks Anon
