Latin is the language of old dead white men, therefor completely unacceptable, in need of cancelling, and has to be updated to force a politically correct formulation onto it.

Also the Latinx folks who do not accept the new woke terminology are deplorable and need to be cancelled and replaced by a properly subservient and grateful population of undocumented folks.

I have this feeling that the term Latinx was invented by 4th-gen Mexican-Americans immigrants when Hollywood realized there was talent to be exploited South of the Yucatan peninsula.

It's as if, suddenly in the entertainment industry, being of Mexican origin went from being an "It" thing, to being relegated to "Lisa Simpson-like" relevance compared to places like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia.

I'm saying that because the ones on social media -tiktok, twitter, facebook- fully embracing it seem to be in their teens to mid 20s. And the only picures of "hispanic" food they seem to share is that godawful TexMex food.
