Presumed Guilty
An amazing story by A.C. Thompson about a wrongful conviction overturned.

My goodness, that is so depressing. The poor man, losing 13 years of his life for a crime he didn't commit. What can anyone do to make this up to him? I hope he sues for every penny he can. Of course, this won't make up for his lost 13 years, but it should make his transition to civilian life easier.
This is actually one of the reasons I oppose capital punishment. Not only does the cost of prosecuting capital crimes make the death penalty the most expensive punishment in America, but the rampant mistakes we make cost innocent people their lives. A dead man can't appeal!
