Dawn Of The Same Old Day
Like me, Bernadine Healy wonders why in the world the morning-after pill is up for debate. The answer, of course: fundamentalists. Their attempt to turn back the clock on women's health issues is supposedly about "choosing life" -- a choosing that gives none of the choice to the women who, in turn, end up unnecessarily barefoot and pregnant, maimed or dead.

I've noticed you've been hitting the religious related topics quite a bit lately. Good. When one looks at it logically and coolly, you begin to realize just how pervasive religion and it's resulting poison are. Because it shapes people's worldview, it spills over into virtually every facet of our lives, one way or the other.
Gore Vidal once said religion, really, is at the root of all the problems we face. He's right.
This is a perfect example right here. The religious would like to SEPARATE their thoughts and beliefs from their actions. Well, we oppose morning after pills and stem cell research and therapeutic cloning and many more because, because, because... and then they make up some nonsense. They, like the good sophists they are, never apparently are able to realize that it is their own religious fairy tales that are shaping their worldviews and actions.
Science vs. superstition once again
