Amy Alkon, Piata
There's some Alkon-bashing going on, over in the comments section at LA Observed, and more at the Spano blog over at the LA Times -- in response to my earlier post, Letter From Paris...Ohio, criticizing Spano for being frequently dull and wrong.

Isn't it funny how mad we make them without even trying?

I just clicked over to "Stephanie"'s blog -- can't say I'm that impressed.

Stephanie has a blog?

Posted by: Cathy Seipp at April 11, 2004 11:22 AM

sort of. It's a bunch of links, with her assessment of whether or not they're "relevant" or "irrelevant." One or other of those words is literally the entirety of her commentary.

Click on her name in any of the LA Observed posts if you're so inclined.

Yes she does. Here's Stephanie's blog:

And if she put her correct name (Stephanie Silva) on her Amazon wish list on her blog... appears our Stephanie is a busy girl, with a burgeoning career as a book reviewer on Amazon!

Suddenly, I feel a tiny rivulet of pity for our poor, mouth-foamiing Stephanie. Then again, since I'm cultivating a reputation as an agenda-toting kitten kicker, with Joseph and Stephanie's help (over in the LA Observed posts)...I wouldn't want to tarnish my image.

PS don't miss the story of the girl who "awoke, panting, from her sleep"!...which I found on Google. Do note: There are probably a number of...uh, enviably talented Stephanie Silva's out there, so this story may not be hers.
