Defamer's name for the new gay cable network being launched by MTV. Sadly, they're calling it "LOGO." LOGO? Defamer gets my vote.

As a homosexual cultural elitist, I will adamantly steer clear of any gay cable TV network. How absolutely base.

Just curious Lena- why do you find this idea base? Do you think it stereotypical?

I'm being a little tongue in cheek. Television, homo or hetero, generally seems like a waste of time to me, especially when I think of all the great books that I'd like to read. I've seen "Queer Eye" a couple of times and thought it was really cute. Those guys certainly reinforce some stereotypes, though, don't they?
Sometimes it seems like the gay/lesbian community is fighting for the right to be incredibly dull -- ie, to get married, join the army, and get written into sitcoms.

I think queer eye is a blast, and it amazes me how many people are really offended by those guys.
Its funny how many of the same people who are offended by this show also claim not to know any gays/lesbians, because they only understand the stereotypes! If only they knew they were surrounded....

Eric -- I have to confess that when I read "I think queer eye is a blast," I got a little pang of pride. I can't take very large doses of Ellen Degeneres, but I'm really proud of her too. Weener

It's a shame the name "Spike TV" was already taken.
