Chickens Are The New Ferrets
But it's probably a bad idea to get a rooster as a pet if you live within five miles of other human beings.

I had a neighbor with a rooster when I lived in North Berkeley in the early 90s. I had just moved from NYC, and I loved hearing it crow.
