Kitty Kelly Book Out Today
And posting this a little after 5am PST, Salon has the most info on it I've seen yet. Like this little tidbit you probably won't read on the left and right shriek sites:
New Yorker writer Brendan Gill recalls roaming the Kennebunkport compound one night while staying there looking for a book to read -- the only title he could find was "The Fart Book."
Is there even a die-hard Bush defender out there who finds this a surprise?
That's just stupid. My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon there--June, 1984-- (he worked for Mrs. Bush) and they have plenty of books. I'm willing to believe plenty of what Kitty found, as I used to work for her. But there are books--lots of books.

Sorry--hit the button too soon. I'm not a die-hard defender of anyone, but I'm willng to bet I've logged in more time at the "compound" than Gill has.

I would have thought he might at least have found stacks of unsold copies of "Millie's Book."

That one moved well, sales-wise. The other side of the ticket didn't do so well. Dan Quayle's book was called "Standing Firm." His wife Marilyn Quale's book was called "Embrace the Serpent."
Just another fun Indiana couple.
