It gets murky down there... How do we know he wasn't at the bottom? The audience he mocked in Vegas a couple months ago (MGM?) might disagree.

Crid's got a point. I'm sure Liz Taylor doesn't think she's hit bottom either, even though she's been living there for years. I know someone who works at Cedars Sinai who had to peel her fat ass up off the floor during one of her many hospitalizations.

Yeah, same with Liza this week. For my whole adult life, every sentence out of Minelli's mouth has sounded like she's about to burst into tears, , kind of like that one board op at KCRW.
