How Effective Are Those Prayers?!
If The Pope's prayers can't get through, whose can? At a midnight mass, the ailing big guy of the Christian church prayed for peace in "The Holy Land"...for Christians, Muslims and Jews to achieve a peaceful coexistence...
...through the mutual respect of its inhabitants," said one of the Mass intentions, read in German. "May it be a safe place, and hospitable to pilgrims and truth-seekers."
How soon do you predict they'll all be singing kum bayah? Do you pray? Why? What effectiveness do you think your prayers will have, or is it a bit of Pascal's Wager on your part?
Of course the reason that christians and jews and muslims cant get along is that there are christians and jews and muslims in the first place. The Papal prince of darkness prays to a non-existent god to bring togehter various religious sects, when the fact that these religious ideas exist in the first place is the reason for the hatred and division. As to the prince of darkness himself, remember this was the jejune-jesus-junky that as late as september of 2001 was performing exorcisms on his flock.

Wouldn't it be nice if the handlers of the papal prince of darkness used a good speechwriter once in a while, so that we'd be spared holiday political commentaries such as, "The entire globe yearns for peace"? Why doesn't he just lick Cheney's ass already and get it over with? The pope makes me want to vomit.

I'm glad you mentioned my site because I have a very serious problem. It turns out that I'm trying to work the blogger angle to publish a book I've written. Trouble is it's expensive. The ad on reason cost me almost $600! Then there's manuscript printing costs and airfare to get to writer's conferences where I can stalk agents.
So, if everyone could please send me five bucks. That'd really help. Oh yeah, and my wife beats me. I've asked Jesus to help but he's been busy with Christmas and all. So you can see my plight. Send help soon. Can't...last...much....longer.....
