Felony Pottymouth
A Republican congressman, F. James Sensenbrenner, wants to start throwing people in jail for broadcast "decency" violations. He calls this "a more efficient way to enforce the indency regulations." My idea of indecency regulation would involve voting nanny-state morons like this out of government as soon as possible.
Hi Amy! Zero comments after 12 hours.
Here's a theory: "Broadcasting" --the dispersal of one-size-fits-all media that was a source of torment, koan, and shibboleth to Americans of our generation-- is no longer the predominant communications paradigm for today's rockin' media scene. Podcasting, web browsers, text messaging and a few other technologies have allowed precisely targeted media to deliver fulfillment to precisely delineated fragments of the American psyche.
Let the squares in Dullsville have their TV transmitters. Who cares?
