The Today Show Wack-Script
From Drudge. The more I read or hear from Cruise, the more convinced I am that he had his brain sucked out and replaced with L. Ron Hubbard's pickled pancreas or something.

A psychiatrist reading this transcript might conclude that Tom’s the one who needs medication and therapy. Even if one concedes that he is sincere about his distaste for all things psychiatric, his arguments are unbalanced and irrational to point of absurdity. Besides, it’s clear he has a burr under his saddle about this issue that goes beyond any concerns about the potential overuse or abuse of certain psychiatric meds. There is massive projection on his part. Anyone know what’s really eating him about this?

Right now the only thing that could garner him any public sympathy is if Russell Crowe threw a phone at him.

Treacher, too funny, as usual.

You were probably right the other day in speculating that Kinglsey is enjoying the hell out of this. But perhaps we shouldn't fault the sister for failing to rein in Tom's eccentricity. Maybe this is why he broke it off with PMK, so he could change direction.

A segment of showbiz fandom has waited twenty years for Cruise to come out of the closet, and I think this is it. Maybe it's not what they hand in mind, but he's dropped the charade of NOT being a control freak of olympic intensity. THAT'S the wellspring of secret feeling that Kinglsey was able to mask with a beard of showbiz warmth.

Really, I would think the dichotomy of how he used to be perceived and how he is perceived now would be a ringing endorsement for Kingsley's PR skills. Cruise is showing his true colors, and I for one am glad people are starting to see him as he is. Not sure it will damage his career at all, though, because he is unusually pretty.
