How To Get To Heaven
Not that there is a heaven. But if there were...

And then there's Just Another Day On The Edge:

Both photos taken Tuesday, September 13, by Gregg Sutter, from the Ironworkers Local 433 job site in Century City -- a 12-story building going up right now.

I love that you posted this. My father was an ironworker Local 25 Detroit. I have newspaper photos, setting a flag, an x-mas tree on the iron, smiling. OH boy those guys are rough. It also brings back fond memories of watching the iron workers outside my office building, watching them do what they do. The upshot is that a lady I worked with oooh'd and awed them. I went to the ironworker trailer once during my lunch, fully armed with donuts and a pint of schnapps, I explained that my dad was also an ironworker and asked if they would be part of a little joke. They agreed. I painted a queen\size bed sheet, (low thread count, Christ I gotta sleep on something decent.) the following, "Alice, we know you watch us" I delivered the sheet, donuts and more schnapps the next day. The Iron workers hung
it off the side of the work they were creating. It could easily be viewed by the whole of our office that faced the west. Alice died in a good way, and ended up with a bedsheet signed by 2 dozen good humored iron workers. My company did not appreciate my sense of humor, but in Michigan in February, I say you do what you can for a laugh.

Sorry to clog your blog with my never ending story.

To get to heaven, just drive through Idaho, go North, a bit east, until you reach Banff. God is there, but he probably looks like a Grizzly that doesn't care much abuut you.

Sleep well fair Alice, let the stars be thy playground~ dance with the bears.

Loved your story, Sonja. I'm from the Detroit suburbs. These ironworkers are tough, hardworking guys in a dangerous job, who need to rely on each other like people in few other professions. As you know, it's life and death. I have a lot of respect for them. But for them, our stars, moon, and sky-scraping office buildings would be mud huts.

If there is a question on how to get to heaven, and you came to this site you were probably disappointed to see the declaration there is no heaven. Yet, you see a complex creation down from the heart suppling blood to the body of this spirited man taking pride in doing what all of us human beings have done since the dawn of our creation. Work. He is working to provide the right things to those he loves the most. In all these words, and the pictures posted above it would be a true shame to tell this man he had no heaven to go to once his body and mind have failed him. Yet, that spirit on the beam has a soul. That soul has to spend eternity somewhere. It will never die. I know there is a real heaven, and a real hell. Heaven is where a holy sinless God resides. Creator of the heavens, and the earth. Creator of satan, and his minions, and his lake of fire. One day there is going to be a vanishing. At that time, God will have taken his body(the church) out of this world. You still have time if you realize you are a sinner in need of God's saving grace thru his Son Jesus Christ. Repent and ask HIM to come into your life. Satan has every deception at his disposal delaying you of you opportunity to get Jesus Christ in the center, and the heart of your life. Go to, and find out how you can have eternal life thru him, and only him. Know where you are going when you die beyond a shadow of a doubt. You may not have tommorrow.

Hey, genius, it's a joke. You have any evidence of heaven, besides the fact that you think it exists, because you're an intellectual sheep? Read the "inanity" comments of the judge in the Dover "intelligent" design case -- the fact that you're unable to explain every detail of life doesn't mean you can just apply any old explanation without proof. How tragic that in the 21st century, with all the science we have, you're still a primitive thinker. Satan? You've met the guy? You know somebody who's met the guy? Or some preacher has told you he exists and you believe it utterly without proof? You have proof there's a soul? No, somebody told you there is one and you're this primitive person who's afraid of death, and you believe what you're told. So, let's see -- a Buddhist who lives his life impeccably, doing everything he can to make the world better for the going to hell because he didn't swear allegiance to your imaginary friend? Do you know how scary it is that you and so many other people believe in this crud just because you were told to? And how come you, the Jews, and the Muslims all insist that your guy is THE guy? How pathetic. How horrible that you'd post this and likely be proud about it, and not be embarrassed. Replace Jesus with Zeus -- there's as much evidence of Zeus existing that there is Jesus. Tragic, tragic, you tenderheaded man.

Hey Jt
everything you said is wrong, simply delusional thinking. What you are is an animal that evolved from the sea. That brain you do your thinking with is a tripartite brain, 3 levels, a base mammilian brain, the cortex and the neo-cortex. God, souls, eternity are just delusions you have invented for yourself to make yuorself feel better, that's all. Other than that, you were right on...
