Do they make you talk about your feelings about clothes? Do you have to recount what your evil stepfather or funny uncle used to say about clothes? Will they proscribe psychotropic drugs if you promise buy the right pants?

Buy the way, has anybody noticed that clothes always have STUFF on them nowadays? There used to be a slender layer of dignity in middle-class life that came from wearing clothes of natural fabric, subdued tailoring, and gentle colors. Those days are over. Everything has comically flared cuffs, or cloud patterns of sequins. Or worst of all, the name of some corporation on it. Back in the Disco Day, we could pretend this was ironic when worn by people we otherwise liked. But that's all over.

It would be really neat if some resentment about this would brew across the lower economic strata.
