Who Is God's Mouthpiece?
One day, it's Pat Robertson; the next, it's New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin.

Mayor Ray Nagin suggested Monday that Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and other storms were a sign that "God is mad at America" and at black communities, too, for tearing themselves apart with violence and political infighting.

"Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it's destroyed and put stress on this country," Nagin, who is black, said as he and other city leaders marked Martin Luther King Day.

"Surely he doesn't approve of us being in
Iraq under false pretenses. But surely he is upset at black America also. We're not taking care of ourselves."

Frankly, what god really needs is Sitrick crisis PR guy Alan Mayer, because if god's got anything at the moment, it's a PR crisis.

Nutcase. Aside from the fact that God doesn't send hurricanes, I would love to know how you can "put stress" on something that's already been "destroyed."

Ahh you forgot his reference to making New Orleans a 'chocolate community' like God intended...hmm, did he mean like Hersey PA?

At least that is what I heard on the local radio. I guess that means God has a sweet tooth and would not smite thee with natural disaster but will make a Willy Wonka wanna be the mayor.

Sorry Amy, I may have had one more "pour" of wine than actually necessary.

Not much on my mind these days, but what can I say? It's not important. I just don't have much to say lately. I've just been letting everything pass me by recently, but eh.
