It's not so much the subject or narrative, but the palette and composition are reminiscent. It's difficult to take a bad photo in Portland.

I'm in St Andrews, Scotland, right now, and sometimes at home in Anstruther, about 10 miles south of here.

The sight that impresses me just now is the straw bales in the fields. They are a lovely rich gold, visually as sharp as needles, all under a cornflower blue sky. I am uplifted every time I see it.
