Still Running On Foreign Oil

Among others, the Extra-Virgin olive variety. Seeing more and more biodiesel-mobiles these days, like this one that belongs to my neighbor -- the alternative to hybrids for those whose mechanical sense goes beyond knowing that they have none.

Met a guy in Long Beach a few months ago who'd set up his company's trucks to run on used cooking oil! He'd done the work himself and said it wasn't that tough to do.

I have a hard time getting gas without assistance. Then again, I get it rather infrequently. Still, I'm lucky if I can find the hood latch on my car, let alone understand the engine. 10+ years taking the NYC subway does not, out of Amy, an auto expert make.

My husband wants to get me one, but I'd just as soon not have another 20 year old car. Still, I love the smell of french fries.
