What Did ATT Fix?

Via Consumerist, an ATT tech goes grocery shopping from the alley. Consumerist's Ben Popken writes:

Brian spotted an AT&T tech "fixing" something in his back alley for the past three days. Turns out, the tech was fixing himself lunch, using his truck's ladder to steal oranges from a customer's tree.

So Brian made a little video.

Brian had the frame of mind to put a soundtrack, clever pictures and text, and his logo on it. He did not have the frame of mind to get a closeup on the tree so we could confirm it holds oranges. Nor did he have the frame of mind to go out and confront the tech on camera. A shame.

And while we're on videos, here's one that's not-to-be-missed: Via Reason, Alternate Universe Ron and Nancy talk to the nation about drugs.

Where they go right: In suggesting it's our constitutional right, despite the dumbass Interstate Commerce Clause, to go mind-walking if we want. As long as we're not behind the wheel.

Videographer's a wuss (clever, but still). Why not confront the tech about the stealing and get THAT on video. Maybe he had permission to pick the oranges.

It's amazing how timid people are in situations like this. Not me. I just told a guy at SFO (the one who was talking loudly behind me on the plane about his pre-existing medical condition!) that I'd be calling him, since he'd shouted out his number.

We're amazed by you that way too, only backwards.

When I was a kid, we called those trucks cherry pickers. Now I know they're bucket trucks.

I think it's kind of funny. Why confront the guy, unless you want an orange too?

Heh heh...thanks, Crid.

And Smurfy, give us your address and let us know when the fruit is ripe, and we'll be right over.

Brian needs to get a life. That att worker will now lose his job over oranges. For 3 days brian had nothing better to do than film utility workers in his alley, he needs to call att and get a dam job.

Brian needs to get a life

I loathe this. This is the kind of remark people make when they have nothing of value to say.

And then you go on to suggest that Brian is the wrong one. If the ATT worker loses his job, it's his fault, not Brian's. Stealing is stealing.

You, apparently, see things differently. So...I guess it's okay with you if some repairman comes to your house and takes money out of your wallet when nobody's looking?
