A View Inside The White House

What are you saying - they are a bunch of candy-ass cupcakes and that they should have some cajones and do something about Iran since they have been at war with us for 30 years which we have tried to ignore.

Well, I guess I have to agree with you.

The one at 4 o'clock, with the smirk? Cheney.

They're very clean. (In a Paul McCartney voice)

Those monkeys are for show. Don't take a bite or you're in for a surprise.

That's where they have a lot in common with the current administration in The White House.

I believe what the girl is saying is that the current White House harkens back to the old minstrel shows in which whites painted their faces to resemble African-Americans. Mockery ensued. I don't understand why anyone as intellegent as Condolezza Rice would submit herself to serving under this great white master from Texas. I don't want to denegrate her but she is acting all the "Tom" and should consider the example she sets for young people of all races.

Are those "the little brown ones" that Bush Sr. used to talk about?

It's great when white people (named "Nathan"; care to wager?) want to tell others what it means to be authentically black.

Love that.

Nathan, I was thinking of Dick, George, and Rovie, all of them as white as a sheet of typing paper.

If Rice weren't black would you instead criticize her for being a tool of the patriarchy? Can't she just be an unwise, ill-chosen person for the job? Somebody whose Cold War expertise probably isn't the best background for the current conflict? That's how I see her.

Then again, I divide my politicians, secretaries of state, and government functionaries along the lines of: dimwitted, incompetent, thieving, etc. Whether they're black or white or other, or have a penis or a vagina really isn't important.

Since I'm up late catching up on your blog, I have to ask: Where'd you find these cupcakes? If it's a local bakery, I'm there. I have to bring something sweet to a party and it's a crowd that would appreciate political pastries.

Whole Foods. Boyfriend bought 'em for my neighbors' kids. 3rd and Fairfax. They're better on looks than they are on taste.
