Want To See My Column And/Or Other Writing In The LA Times?
Ask for it. There's a 2pm live chat today, February 7, with Andrés Martinez, the editorial page editor of the LA Times. I once sat next to him at a dinner, and he seems like a good guy. He'd probably be open to running me if people ask.
The chat link itself is here, but won't be running until 2pm.

P.S. That's Pacific Time.
Madam, you are a shameless self-promoter. I take it that the event is Pacific time zone.

Amy be nice to these people. Regimes are flying through that office like bats out of Hell; all earlier slights can be forgotten if you let them

Yes, Casca, that would be PST, and a little bird told me it wouldn't be a bad time to make suggestions to Andrés of people you'd like to see in the paper.
And Crid, good advice, but I believe Andrés likes me, or doesn't dislike me, from the contact we've had. The op-ed section isn't the part of the paper I've had a problem with -- it's been the features sections.

Amy - I wish I had the stones to blatantly self-promote my law practice like you do. At any rate, do you run in Santa Barbara? Are you plugged into what's going on over there? Crazy stuff.

I don't run there -- but I'd like to. I am in the Ventura County Reporter and the Orange County Register, among others!
