Amy At LA Times Festival Of Books
I'll be moderating a panel at 3pm on Sunday, April 29, on "Memoirs: Lessons Learned," with Karen Stabiner (The Empty Nest: 31 Parents Tell the Truth About Relationships, Love, and Freedom After the Kids Fly the Coop), Aimee Liu (Gaining: The Truth About Life After Eating Disorders), Jessica Hendra (How to Cook Your Daughter: A Memoir), and Arianna Huffington (On Becoming Fearless.... in Love, Work, and Life).
If anybody has any memoir-oriented questions they want me to ask (even though all these books aren't technically memoirs, since they aren't entirely personal, first-person accounts), comment away below!

Heh heh...it pays to have a name that starts with "A." David Rensin just e-mailed to tell me -- my picture is in the special section today...one of about eight!

Amy, you're probably reading a lot of memoirs this week, but here's a short piece from the LAT recently that may inform your hosting:

For the record, Sister Meghan is hosting an interview with Carolla for Zócalo at Skirball on June 1st. This will be interesting, because Carolla's brilliance --from the carpet-cleaning childhood of a 1970's Valley divorce-- is antithetical to the piece linked above.
Daum is also hosting something at the book fare.

Carolla is truly brilliant. I really want to go, but I'll be at the evolutionary psych conference in VA.

Ooh, I'm reading Gaining right now and enjoying it a lot.
