Hmmm, suspicious. It almost looks like the wee one would fit inside the big one with room left over for liberal elite activities. Park around the corner, deploy the ELF-mobile and arrive at the gala leaving stylishly small carbon footprints. Who'd ever know?
Wow, these long weekends really mess with my mind.
Bitchin' parking space BTW.

I'm not a liberal, thank you, but I like that you seem to find me "elite."

Amy, anyone who ever disagrees on anything the conservitives embrace is a liberal, and vice versa - even if you consider yourself to belong to either camp if you disagee with the collective you are an "outsider"

I remember at a party I once had my conservitive freinds got in an argumnent with my liberal friends - they were argueing over if I was more conservitive or liberal.

Funniest thing was each side wasnt arguing that I was with them, my liberal friends were arguing that I was too conservite, and my conservite freinds wouldnt do anything but argue I was too liberal.

Funny.

I'm best described as a fiscal conservative and socially very libertarian. I'm against public funding for NPR or for school for anyone but the very poor. I'm for drunk bunks in Seattle, for organ selling and or renting your body if you want to. And I'm against the war in Iraq and for the war in Afghanistan. And very much for the separation of church and state, and for a government based on science, rationality, and good data, and not on religious belief and lobbying grease.

that's public funding of school for anyone but the very poor. Middle class? Pay for your own damn brats to get educated. And while you're at it, teach them some manners!

Well, the labels of 'left' and 'right' are outdated and belong to their rightful place in the late 18th Century France.

I have the same problem too, Amy and Lujlp. For years, I have voted for many Republicans, Independents and Democrats and never met anyone who would vote the straight ticket until I lived in Washington DC. Basically, the label that fits for me is a libertarian or a classical liberal.

fiscal conservative and socially very libertarian = libertarian, yes?

"...almost looks like the wee one would fit inside the big one with room left over for liberal elite activities..."

Oopsies. The "liberal elite" applies to the hypothetical person who would be so hypocritical as to travel by giant luxury SUV limo while smuggling along an eco-friendly ride for show. But still, it was kind of funny to see the reaction.

It looks like you car is in the process of leaving the limousine's shuttle bay.
