Been by it six times in the last three days, but no one of my acquaintance has ever actually eaten one of those donuts. Can anyone report?

"Kind of hard to fuck up a fried cake, you know." So says Gregg, from Lost Hills (he's driving me home from SF). Also, "You're not going to find many drive-through donut joints that side of town." Also, "Always a line, rain or shine."

That's grotesquely, pathetically understandable. It was in every "sunny LA" video/film montage composed between about 1984 - 1992. If you're a punky gang banger, that's the closest thing you'll have to community monument.

Why do I have this strange craving for a really gigantic cup of coffee right now?

Gee, if they sold frozen chocolate-covered bananas they could have a hell of a sign made up.

Crid -- I grew up in Westchester, where Randy's is located (really, it's on the border with Inglewood.) They have some fantastic donuts! It's worth stopping by. Try the "apple crepe" -- it's a kind of wrap with an apple/cinnamon filling.

It even has sprinkles on top! (But for some reason it makes me feel like my d*ck is small ...)

Yes...sprinkles with wings! (Amy back in Los Angeles.)

Not sure if its still the case, but this was a well-known site for gangland shootings in the early '80s.

Did they stick them in the hole and blow them away? Or just off them in the parking lot?
