The lethal reality of 50% of voters paying NO taxes is upon us. Representation without taxation is the problem.
There's no place to run from the looters - all the Google maps hits for Galt's Gulch are (hysterical laughter) in the DC area. We are sooo fucked.

Whenever I see one of those plates, I always think, give D.C. back to Maryland and let Annapolis worry about it. They deserve each other!

Yes, give it all back to Maryland except the actual Federal office buildings themselves.

The problem is that if they give DC back to Maryland, the Dems won't get another two Senators. So, they'll make DC a state. They just won't do it in the usual (i.e., Constitutional) way.
In the meantime, they'll ignore the reality that DC is represented in Congress (non-voting) and is de facto represented by all members of Congress (DC is administered by Congress) and give voting power in the House to it's representative (who is, what do you know, a Democrat).

Or, they could treat DC like a US territory and eliminate the federal taxation on anyone living in the district.
Again, that doesn't give them two additional Democratic senators.

All I get for Galt's Gulch is some place in Englewood, NJ. THAT can't be right. Unless it's a brilliant hide-in-plain-sight tactic?

Great stuff from Rick Santelli bashing the stimulus (linked on Drudge today):

Thanks for posting the Santelli link. Eric sent it to me earlier, but I'm only able to get it to work now. I think there was a lot of traffic there due to a Drudge link.
While I agree with Santelli in theory, I didn't hear him bitching about the Wall St bailout that preceeded the housing bailout. Which is not to say he didn't, but...

Its a reference to Atlas Shrugged
Come on people, even those who have never read the book know the question "Who is John Galt?"

This is the link I sent you Amy- it's a very funny comparison of male vs. female brains.
