Terrorism Or Coincidence?
Two of the passengers on Air France flight 447 that they're now trying to find in the sea had the same names as "radical Muslims considered a threat to the French Republic." Peter Allen writes for SkyNews:
Agents are now trying to establish dates of birth for the two dead passengers, and family connections.There is a possibility the name similarities are simply a "macabre coincidence", the source added, but the revelation is still being "taken very seriously".
France has received numerous threats from Islamic terrorist groups in recent months, especially since French troops were sent to fight in Afghanistan.
Actually...coincidence or people just freaking out over nothing??
Let's face it - if it was terrorism someone would have jumped up and very publically claim responsibility.

It took them this long to think of that possibility?
Although I kind of tend to lean in the direction Karen said - it's not very terrorizing if no one at least claims to be responsible, is it?

The evidence so far leans against it being terrorism. But this is worth keeping an eye on.

When the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated over Texas 6 years ago, the world's airwaves were filled with Muslims loudly gloating over the blessed sign from Allah. I'll need to see at least one spittle-flecked imam rejoicing before I can be persuaded that Muslims may have had something to do with it.

I have a story I wanted to share, that I haven’t been able to get out of my head since I heard it a few days ago. It’s not exactly on topic with the recent flight that went down, but it does coincide well with the “terrorism or coincidence” subject heading. I was talking with someone at work who met with a client (let’s call him “Bob”) that does some traveling for his own business. Bob told my co-worker that on 9/10/2001 he was on a small flight either from Cape Cod to Florida or from FL to Cape Cod (sorry, it’s second-hand info, so I’m not certain), and while preparing for take-off the plane detoured and was parked on the tarmac for 4 hours. The pilot announced, “sorry for the delay, we have (had?) passengers onboard who have at least 15 different identifications.” And four men who looked middle-eastern were taken off of the plane (I’m not sure if it was before or after the announcement)… then they went on with the flight.
I wish I was the one who met Bob and could tell the story I heard with more precise info, but this is all I know… I can’t stop thinking, first of all, were they terrorists? If so, why were they caught BEFORE anything happened and none of the others? Seems like a weird coincidence to happen the day before the attacks. Could be just that, though… but what do you guys think?
