The Hate Crimes Prosecution Isn't For Those Who Made The Death Threats
Dutch Parliament member Geert Wilders, whose film Fitna warns of the threat to Western civilization from Islam, will be tried for a hate crime in The Netherlands, writes Bob Unruh on WND:
The film calls on Muslims to remove "hate-preaching" verses from the text of their holy book....Wilders, the leader of the Dutch Freedom Party, has been living under 24-hour protection from police since 2004. Al-Qaida has called for his murder.
...Wilders has called the prosecution an "attack on freedom of speech."
"In this country, you are apparently allowed to criticize only if you are politically correct in how you express yourself," he has said.
Blogger Diana West wrote on Wilders' website, "It is not just the repression ... of Islam that Wilders is outspoken about... He is equally if almost singularly outspoken about the political remedies necessary to halt the extension of Islam's law. Such remedies include stopping Islamic immigration and deporting agents of jihad. These are simple measures any democratic state that wished to repeal Islamization would take. ... It is a political trial, then, in the worst sense, that we are about to witness. And it is about more than the future of freedom of speech. The trial of Geert Wilders is about the future of freedom."
European countries like Britain and The Netherlands are, more and more, having their own laws used to protect those who seek to destroy western freedoms and western societies. Many Muslims in Europe seek to turn European countries -- those have (stupidly) taken in mass quantities of immigrants who will not assimilate -- into Saudi Arabia II.
Visit Europe while it's still Europe. (Before you have to put on your Chanel burka before entering France.)

Does anyone know how to contact The Netherlands embassy in Washington via e-mail ? I urge all who read this blog to send a protest/support letter for Mr Wilders. His trial begins Jan 20.

Is Wilders able to leave the country? Could he get out before the trial starts, or is he being held? I wonder, though, if he prefers to stand trial. What's the maximum sentence he could get?

So its only a "hate crime" if he makes other people aware of peoples hate-preaching?
Chalk up the Netherlands as a lost cause. The Muslims now own them.
Too bad, because I'm part Dutch.

On the other hand, if he is found decidedly NOT guilty of hate speech, it would be flipping the bird to those bastards who desperately deserve it.

If you want to see the details of why he's been charged with hate crimes, you can view the text of the summons here:

Compare the statements he's been arrested for with what is discussed regularly on this blog.

"What's the maximum sentence he could get?"
4 years & a fine.
He was last out of the country in October, when he gave this speech:

Martin: Thanks for the link to the e-mail addresses for the Dutch embassies.
The Dutch embassy in the U.S. apparently does not wish to be contacted. There is no e-mail address for the Dutch embassy in Washington. The Dutch embassy homepage does not show an e-mail address and the "contact us" button is not responsive.
The following countries, to name a few, do have the e-mail address for the Dutch embassy located in the capital city: Afghanistan, Angola, Cameroon, Dominican Republic, Jordan, Libya, Russia, Rwanda, and Yemen.
BUT NOT THE U.S.A. There are, however, e-mail addresses for the Dutch consular offices in 21 U.S. cities.
I think the Dutch are deliberately locking out U.S. voices to the Wilders controversy. Such courage!

While the comment about putting on a Chanel burka before entering France sounds cute, it's quite the opposite: France, as a lay nation (holding that relgiion is a private matter, not public) has curtailed the wearing of any religious clothing or device in school and the President is calling for legislation against the burka.
When a French writer Michel Houellebecq said that the Koran was a stupid book the courts found that rather than having 'provoked religious hatred', that his opinions had 'the legitimate right of criticizing religions'.
Don't think you'll find a Chanel (or any other designer named' burka readily available in France.
