Yes.
If it's on display, it's a cute reminder that she was once a kid, too. If it's in her bed, it's a warning that she hasn't progressed past that stage. If she has to have it, it's full stop.

I kinda like it!

No big deal, all women are crazy in one way or another. A stuffed animal is far from the worst it could get. :)

I would be, there would never be a second evening event. It means there is Something Wrong with her.

When I was a kid, my favorite toy was my teddy bear; he went everywhere with me (including other countries), and I thought of him as a companion, not a toy. As an adult, he sits on my bookcase (in my bedroom) and he will always have a place there. Boyfriends have thought it's sweet I still have him, and every guy I've dated has kept his favorite toy, too.
That said, as an adult it's never occurred to me to take him down off the shelf and sleep with him. I think she must be missing something in her life to need that. Comfort from childhood? Reassurance that some things don't change? I think it's a little sad. And yes, I can see where it would be a turnoff to men! If nothing else, she's coming off as needy and immature (which men love...NOT)!

Well if the's the worst, prolly not... the question is, what's being hidden. Something innocuous is one thing, but everyone has something that they might be hiding.
If she could change to a pillow instead, then guys would prolly never actually know, but what about the behind the scenes stuff?
At least it's kinda out there in the open, unlike a woman with daddy issues that gets with you only to crucify you on the cross of whatever her father wasn't to her...
There are worse things.

I find it very odd. As an adult I do still own a teddy bear that was my companion throughout my childhood and has seemed to survive every move I have made throughout my military career. She sits on a shelf in my bedroom and is never on or in my bed. I think of it as a fond reminder of all the journeys I have made since childhood. For a grown woman to still need that kind of comfort indicates a very juvenile mindset.

Girlfriend has a stuffed animal. Longtime childhood one at that. Sometimes she gets a little silly but I think in the end is just play and being silly for fun sake. I get in on the fun of cooperate or the elephant gets it!
I think what would freak me out is some woman who has one of those really real looking baby dolls.

My question is: how different is this from people letting their pets sleep in their bed with them?

I'm sorry, but that would totally creep me out.
One or two in the room is one thing. ANY of them in the bed...NO.

I dunno, I have some stuffed animals that are ergonomically more comfortable than pillows. There's a Gund bear that supports my neck and head much better than a pillow does, because of its shape. And since I've been pregnant, there's a big cat that works even better than a nursing pillow for stuffing between my legs and avoiding cramps and backache.
