Naked Men Or Ladies?
This is a question for straight girls (but guys and gay girls can feel free to weigh in, too, but please identify yourself as such). Anyway, if you had to go to a strip club, would you rather go to one where men are stripping or women are? And what's the reason behind your choice?

women. As a straight female, I went to one of those Chippendale shows years ago, and felt nothing but uncomfortable and embarrassed.
As you know, women don't usually get the hots for men they have no attachment to, and this experience was no exception.
Naked women on the other hand, might make the guy I am with (if I am with one) more amorous and a little less inhibited to the point where I could benefit from the arousal. Also my boobs are real. I have good ones and don't have to worry about competing with any stripper in that area.
Truth, I would rather be at a shooting range than either a male or female strip bar.

Would a burleque club count? I've been to a few artists events that frequently have burlesque girls as models. They seem to have a great sense of humor and showmanship.
But if we're just talking straight up stripping bars, I think I'd prefer to see ladies strip. In general I find women to be more aesthetically pleasing than men.

According to a recent study, 50% of women surveyed either identified themselves as bisexual or admitted to strong bisexual attractions to their own sex...and the other 50% lied about it.
;)

Either. I just don't want any of them trying to give me a lap dance. I like women because they are more sensual. I like the men because they tend to be able to do some impossible feats that I don't normally have the ability to witness. Men are just more entertaining.
NikkiG at March 8, 2011 4:56 PM
I've been to a couple of Chippendale-type shows when out with girlfriends, but I wasn't all that uncomfortable or embarrased. It was actually pretty funny, I thought!
And the last couple of times we were in New Orleans, BF and I went to the Gold Club, which is a very classy place, compared to regular strip bars - I mean, the girls were gorgeous, and BF and I got to the point where we just had to go back to the hotel and finish what got started at the club! So if I had to go to a strip club, I'd prefer a classy one, with pretty ladies.

I've had fun at both in my younger wild days. But, I see both as silly fun, not a sexual thing. Generally. I have had a stripper (female) take me into the bathroom, wanting sex with me (her idea and for free) I imagine that doesn't happen to many men there! Flattering :)
I've also been friends with female strippers in college, they all had issues that would make me even less likely to see strippers in general as a source of sexual arousal.
I've been to some clubs in new orleans that had both, that was nice. Then-BF and I didn't make it back to the hotel, but that was me being turned on for him and him being turned on by the naughtiness :) although I can't understand why women want their men turned on by other women (isabel)-I've never needed help getting my man wild and ready!
momof4 at March 8, 2011 5:44 PM
I'd rather watch females stripping than men (straight female, BTW). Generally the pretty boys that would choose to be strippers don't do it for me. Not that I don't admire naked men (I do enjoy the male form) but it's jarring to me to have them prancing about for some reason.
Midwest Chick at March 8, 2011 6:01 PM
I'm a guy but I have a female friend who is always happy to come to a female strip club with me. On the other hand, being the queen of one night stands she's not so much there for the girls as for the horny and frustrated guys she can pick up. In case anyone thinks we're together the standard story is that I'm her brother :)
But to some extent she just likes the atmosphere and she does appreciate the girls.

Blush. I have been to both, but no-one does it for me like a man. Years ago, I went to a male revue and found it disgusting. A couple of years ago, I went to a male strip club with my husband. I felt some kind of connection with a dancer. The experience has been much more tactile than visual. I think that that is the way women work as shocking as it may be.
Jen at March 8, 2011 6:26 PM
. I've been to strip clubs 4 times in the last 6 years. All 4 times I was accompanied by a female (not lesbian). The consensus seemed to be females are more enjoyable to look at and the experience in general was more pleasurable.
TW at March 8, 2011 6:32 PM
Would depend on who I was with. With my BF? Women. I'd say catty things while watching him get turned on, and then we'd go enjoy ourselves. With a bunch of girls, I'd go see the guys, drink more, and just watch the show.
jen at March 8, 2011 6:33 PM
I've been to both and the experience isn't the same. The strip clubs with men are more cheesy and mostly bacherlorette and I didn't find anything sexy or erotic about it.
I've been many times to strip clubs where the strippers are women and have to admit that as a straight woman, I was very turned on. I thought it was very sexy, erotic, and a few times ended up having sex with my date in the parking lot. And let me say while I'm an open person sexually, I don't sleep around and I'm not into strange stuff, so for me to attack my date in the parking lot, it had to be pretty hot.
Kristen at March 8, 2011 6:42 PM
This is why men are visual and women are not.
Who wants to look at a pair of hairy balls in your face? Men, for the most part, are not very attractive to look at, and even the most godly of specimens wind up looking like trained apes in dental floss.
I'm straight, and would rather look at the women, just cause they're pretty and guys are not. Plus, no pressure to find anything erotic or be the wildest, you can just have fun and drive the guy you're with nuts with dirty little somethings in his ear.
Angel at March 8, 2011 7:10 PM
I would add that mine perhaps is not the opinion to give much consideration, seeing as how I got myself dis-invited from my sister in laws for Xmas - She wasn't very happy when my brother came home from his (banned, impromptu, verrrry drunk) stag party with whip welts and glow in the dark ink.
Oops.
Question-Would she have been as upset had I been his brother instead of his sister? Everyone says this would have been quite acceptable, but as I am his sister this broke the rules.
Angel at March 8, 2011 7:20 PM
I'm a straight woman who would much rather see men stripping. I find the male form beautiful because it's the exact opposite of a woman's body - muscular, strong, angular. Plus, I'm so accustomed to seeing the female form used to selling everything under the sun, from shoes to deodorant, that I see nothing special about yet another pair of tits or ass. More naked men please!
Jen Wading at March 8, 2011 7:57 PM
Angel, male strippers aren't hairy. Anywhere. I will say, having done both, the male strippers d WAY more to their clients than the female ones. WAY more. Men know the way to get tips, and women clients aren't dumb. Men are much more willing to part with their dough. I mean seriously guys-she's stripping her way through college? Did you not notice the crow's feet? Let me guess-she wants to be a teacher??

They probably would not have been thrilled either way, however, I'd say it is more likely you would have received a pass if you were his brother.
A seemingly large majority of people think women are the more visually pleasing group. So it certainly seems a good explanation as to why men are more visual.
TW at March 8, 2011 11:03 PM
I preferred going to the strip clubs where women were performing. Horny old ladies staring at men in banana hammocks are almost as scary as little old ladies at bingo halls.
Kendra at March 8, 2011 11:20 PM
Women. I'm not interested in looking at naked men who aren't into me. If I were to visit a strip club again it would be for the kitsch factor, either way. Both are campy. But what's the point of a flaccid naked guy?
NicoleK at March 8, 2011 11:32 PM
Neither. Male strippers would make me laugh and do nothing for me. Not interested in women who are naked. The Brawny(paper towel)Man does it for me-with his clothes on.
ju2144 at March 9, 2011 4:23 AM
Male strippers are just a funny novelty, in my opinion. I am not turned on by a naked male stranger making crude and overtly sexual moves. It doesn't seem to faze men that strippers are paid to act attracted to them, but that keeps me from getting aroused.
Female strippers, on the other hand, are very erotic to me because 1) I'm imagining myself in their place (as I do with beautiful models wearing couture in magazine spreads), and 2) they're getting my boyfriend worked up. I think it's a great outlet for satisfying men's need for variety while still sharing the experience as a couple.
Insufficient Poison at March 9, 2011 6:26 AM
Women. I worked in a strip club, though, so strippers don't really have that sexy mystery appeal to me any more.
While I certainly appreciate the male form, the very idea of a guy that thinks he's so hot that I should be giving him money is laughable.
I live close enough to the UT campus that I can oogle hot young men (usually playing volleyball) if I wanted to, for free, any time. And that's WAY hotter than some fake-tanned (probably gay) gym rat shakin' it in a neon thong. Plus, I don't like men I don't know touching me. At all.
ahw at March 9, 2011 7:29 AM
All things being equal, I'd rather watch men. I'm turned on by big, hairy, masculine guys. Male strippers are usually big and masculine (at least they look the part), and two out of three ain't bad.
But all things aren't equal. Most male strippers' idea of erotic moves is to grind their dicks in women's faces, and the audience is loud and vulgar. I enjoy a nicely turned out male pelvis thrusting into my face, but I'm certainly not going to pay for it or do it in public.
Beth Cartwright at March 9, 2011 7:31 AM
Once in Amsterdam we went to a live sex show. He was a big, bald, muscular guy and a she was a blonde anorexic woman with canteloupe breasts. He looked nervous and hostile, looking at people in the audience like "am I doing it right?" She looked like she was trying to figure out what to have on her coffee break. They went at it, every position possible, for about 15 minutes, and then ended with a typical porno facial.
All in all it was a comically gross experience.

"I mean seriously guys-she's stripping her way through college? Did you not notice the crow's feet? Let me guess-she wants to be a teacher??"
Funny thing about that... the last two times I went to strip clubs (one in Florida and one in Toronto), I was put off by the fact that the clubs had evidently gone out of their way to hire girls who looked very underage. The Toronto club was particularly bad; they had one girl who didn't look a day older than 13. I was disgusted. I asked the waitress (who was far more womanly and attractive than any of the girls on stage), "Where are they getting these women, middle school?" She laughed and said, "You don't want to know."

I am female. Straight. 35 years old.
I've never been to a strip club to see women, only once to a male strip club (double yarp!) for a bachlorette party.
I'd rather see naked women I don't know then see naked men I don't know.
My experience at the male strip club was the men were a complete turn off. It was raunchy and effeminate all at the same time. These were NOT the manly men I am attracted to and no amount of fantasizing or delusional thinking was able to change that for me.
I was somewhere between feeling sorry for them and fighting the impulse to run and hide in the bathroom when they tried to get within 5 feet of me.
Very, very awkward.
Feebie at March 9, 2011 9:11 AM
As usual, conventional thinking dominates. How about a strip club with both men and women, who perform every imaginable sex act on each other at the end of the dance?
Now that might be worth watching.
BOTU at March 9, 2011 10:53 AM
I went to a bachelorette party that had both men and women strippers. We women sat in a group and laughed our asses off. I would never be attracted to the kind of man who prances around like male strippers do. Plus, they were showing off a what should have been some tiny secrets.
My half sister was a bartender at a strip club and I met her there one night because we were going to a concert after her shift. I watched some of the dancers and was intrigued by the way the men watched them. It was a kind of turn on for me. I also learned a few stripping moves that I could use in the privacy of my own room with my own man!
I am a straight female...and I just turned 40! Yay!
kg at March 9, 2011 4:04 PM
Dita von Teese? Yes. But most strippers aren't her. Men have a sense of humor, usually.
KateC at March 9, 2011 4:54 PM
I would prefer nude women over men, but women in burlesque will get me hotter than a Bermuda High. The methods of teasing and the potential of showing more and more skin as time goes on is arousing on its own merits.
When a stripper removes an article of clothing, she is gauging the reaction of the audience and giving them a signal on how much more she might reveal.
A great example is when a stripper removes her stockings - when kept on, they showcase her "better parts", but when stockings are unhooked from a garter belt and rolled down the legs, she's telling the person who's watching, "I feel confident I can show you even more of my body, even parts people might not like."
Cleary Squared at March 9, 2011 7:16 PM
There are many necklines to choose from when it comes to women? blouses. Depending on the body structure and the overall personality of the woman, she could choose the design and style of blouses.

Been to both, used to go to topless bars to take my boyfriend. I have voyeuristic tendencies and enjoyed watching him get dances. Don't really enjoy getting dances for myself, although dancers were always hitting on me and wanting to have 3sums. Did have a 3sum with a dancer, the first time I went to a strip club, but didn't think nothing of it. Then went to LeBare, but all the guys are gay and had crabs. Then spent much time at another male all nude bar, but the guys were either bi or gay, and my guy friends slept with them. I dated 3 male strippers, 2 adult male film stars. Then I started working at a strip club myself, it was a topless bar. Soon I started stripping myself at all nude bar. Preferred working at a tasteful, no touching all nude bar, never really noticed girls, just enjoyed certain physiques, but didn't sleep with anyone, unless stressed. If I had to choose, I would prefer taking my husband/bf to a female strip club and buy him a bunch of dances. I enjoy watching him with other women, or hot people, but don't want anyone touching me. People make me uncomfortable, so I feel weird, naturally there are exceptions. Of course, I'm into couples, not really women, and I like guys, although I label myself bisexual, my husband labels me as more bisexual with a thing for couples, more than anything.
Gia at June 13, 2011 10:42 PM
Also, female bars, especially the nice ones, are classier, and can be trendier. Definitely more tasteful. Male bars, are cheap, and I think its better to just hire a male stripper, outside of a strip club. Male strippers that don't work in strip clubs, are usually straight, with no feminine qualities, hence very very hot, and muscular.
