It was gorgeous, everyone was so warm and friendly, and the food and my lodgings were amazing. I had a fantastic time. I even had a wonderful woman drive me to the airport, a grandmother who raised her granddaughter by herself after her granddaughter's parents both died. (Yes, I'm THAT chatty with strangers -- even at 4:39 am, when I got in the car to the airport!)

Had I known earlier, I'd have made the 4 hour drive. That part of Colorado has some beautiful scenery (well, actually, MOST of Colorado has beautiful scenery, which would explain why I'm still here, 17 years later).
I love, love, LOVE Lucy's leopard carrier! That girl rides in style, for sure.
