Middle East History: Lebanon Was Destroyed From Within By Muslims
Bridget Gabriel on growing up Christian in Muslim-majority Lebanon:
Gabriel observes that Lebanon was the "Paris of the Middle East," but thanks to the tolerance and open borders of the Christian who were once the majority group there, the country was destroyed. Muslims who migrated there took multiple wives and pumped out children until they became the majority and Christians became the minority, and from then on, Lebanon was ruined.
This is surely what's to come in the West. Maybe not tomorrow or next week, but countries like France and Germany and certainly the Scandinavian countries will be under Muslim rule and Sharia law in my lifetime.
By the way, Gabriel contends that King Hussein of Jordan killed more Palestinians in Black September than the Israelis ever did.
Of course, Muslim-on-Muslim violence seems of little interest to anyone, as it's such a distraction from blaming the Joooos. The Investigative Project on Terrorism quotes poly sci prof Salim Mansur on Muslims who go after Muslims:
"This crime has been an ongoing thing in Muslim history and Muslim politics. I am a personal witness to that."He points to a more recent example taking place right now in Darfur in Western Sudan. Janjaweed militias linked with Sudan's Islamist government are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Muslims. Yet major American Muslim organizations and Muslim governments around the world have been largely silent about the Darfur genocide, instead aiming most of their fire at targets like the FBI, the Transportation Security Administration and Israel.
Mansur calls bullshit on the idea that terrorists do their deeds because of poverty, and on much more, in a terrific and informative piece at the link just above.

countries like France and Germany and certainly the Scandinavian countries will be under Muslim rule and Sharia law in my lifetime....that will make life a lot easier for the men of these countries as it will stop them from getting crushed under the burden of expensive divorces and false rape accusations....actually, what will destroy the west is not just islam from outside, but also feminism from within which has already crushed a lot of good capable people in these countries

I wouldn't count the European countries out just yet. The ruling classes may be willing to immolate themselves, but the majority of their populations are not. Eventually they will rise up and address the issue. The solution may be violent and ugly, but that's the pattern of European history.
Right now, most EU countries are still ruled by 68'ers - think Barack Jimmy Carter Kerry Obama, but even less democratic. The life goal of the 68ers is to punish us all for the historical sins of humanity. And to make themselves aristocrats. They like impoverished muslims because they share a common disdain for democracy and harass the population. Muslims are a good instrument for dismantling the last vestiges of sovereign culture because they are offended by almost everything and very litigious - just like the 68ers. So it is a marriage of convenience.

Redrajesh, the answer is not to twist every comments section around to being about abuses by feminists against men. I blog enough about men's rights issues that it's actually pretty rude of you to do this -- same as it would be if somebody brought up veganism on this post.

I've had the experience lately of several young people asking me about the Middle East. One of the things I do is tell them that if I were President and I were inclined to go all neocon on the Middle East, I would not have wasted time in Libya -- I'd start by kicking Syria's ass. Why Syria, they ask? Then I explain to them about Lebannon, about how Beirut was once regarded as one of the world's leading capitols, and how the American University of Beirut was highly regarded, and how this was true as recently as the 1970s. They are always stunned to hear this.

This is all good and well, until you realize that for every one of you there are 10 of them. And they're not afraid to resort to violence first.
Yeah, parts of Europe is done. It's all demographically over but for the crying.

What is so sad, is I can show this to some liberal -- they will dismiss her as a hate monger. I can have 20 different people saying this same thing and it will be dismissed as anecdotes, not data.
But you have the anointed one stand up and say all is well, he will be believed sans evidence.

Mansur writes an interesting column in the Toronto sun.

Code Pink sees the troubles of the Palestinians being caused by Israel. You won't see them protest Muslim on Muslim violence because it is the Jews fault. Maybe Code Pink can dance in Israel to support the Palestinians.

I support their right to protest. I also support their arrest when they are deemed to violate the law.

In addition to demographics, Lebanon was done in by deliberate political intervention from Iran and Syria - exploiting the mutual distrust within Lebanon. Michael Totten is the go-to guy for this kinda background.

One hallmark of the west is that birth rates among migrants drop drastically within two generations, often one. One thing that extends this drop is cloistered communities and is the single biggest mistake liberals make. Europe fell into this trap and the US is following.

Joe, what do you mean by cloistered communities?
It seems to me that a lot of the reason the birthrate drops is because the USA is a damn expensive place to live. Even if you can somehow afford to have and raise children without public assistance, you might still end up being a debt slave for most of your life. It's easily understandable that many people do not want to submit to this.
And sure, there is a small number of people with plenty of money, who can have kids without public assistance OR taking on debt, but then think for a minute how these people become rich. They work their butts off in college at high-demand degrees that are often very intensive in math and science, get a high-paying job or start their own business, and then find that they really don't have the time to be a parent.
What would a non-cloistered community look like, and how would that make the birthrate go up?

"It seems to me that a lot of the reason the birthrate drops is because the USA is a damn expensive place to live."
Be sure to look this up. The "expensive" is largely due to debt service on poorly-sought credit.
Radwaste at May 30, 2011 5:38 PM
If you mean it's difficult for people to be able to afford kids if they take on stupid debt, then I completely agree. People spend fortunes on degrees that indebt them for decades and don't help them earn any more money. They overspend on homes, and don't get me started on cars or the kind of credit card debt people rack up for the latest bling.
But maybe you weren't talking about consumer debt, and were instead referring to the U.S. national debt and the currency it must print in order to sustain its spending. This has diminished the purchasing power of the dollar over the last few decades in terrible ways. Which in turn also makes the USA a damn expensive place to live.
Or maybe you meant both.
