Weinergate? Smells like Bullshitgate.
Neither a Democrat nor a Republican (I'm a Neither - fiscally conservative, socially libertarian), and I've been uninterested in Weinergate...but I just heard him on CNN.
Sorry, but how is anyone UNSURE of whether a particular bulging penis shot is of them? Has Representative Weiner taken so many bulging penis photos that they're all getting hard to keep track of?

in this case, "I don't know" means "yes"... and the appropriate response might have been "dream on, creepy old man"...
It just really cracks me up that these idiots never think they will get caught.

Er, um, that depends upon what the meaning of the word "is", is?

Just another pole-driven Democrat.
Such behavior should be circumscribed. Or uncircumscribed. Whatever.

11 Reasons to have a bulging penis picture on hand:
(1) Digital pictures don't cost much.
(2) It is proof of your sincere desire.
(3) The penis is incidental. The clean underwear is attractive.
(4) If you got it, flaunt it.
(5) There is a nasty rumor that congressmen are less endowed than senators.
(6) If you are bad at poetry, what else can you send?
(7) It will be a souvenir as you get older.
(8) The picture of the red Camaro didn't work.
(9) You are unwilling to send your credit card number.
(10) She may show hers, if you show her yours.
(11) It really is a remarkable and beautiful example of bio-engineering.

If you got it, flaunt it.
I've seen the picture in question. He ain't got it. He shouldn't have flaunted it.
Rule of thumb for where to draw the line at what you should post to the net: if it came to the attention of your wife, significant other, mother, sister or clergy and it would cause you embarrassment, maybe you ought not be posting it.
Of course, not unlike Watergate it isn't the crime that does you in. It's the coverup.

By "bulging" do we, in fact, mean to say "stiff"?
If so, let us abandon euphemism. If not, what sort of fool sends out a picture of his flaccid dick? That should be an internet no-no.
jollyroger at June 1, 2011 8:33 PM
Does anyone even know how this picture got out? Was it something meant for his wife but got sent to someone else by accident? Was it something he sent on purpose to a mistress? Was it something that an ex girlfriend had and is now using against him? There are no details.
What drives me crazy is that if this was a Republican, not only would we already know the details because the press would have jumped on it, people would be screaming for his head along with his resignation. But because he's a Democrat, and apparently Democrats can do no wrong since the Demi God Obama is a Democrat, he's gonna end up jobless of course (because he's just an idiot), but it won't be nearly as dramatic. They are just gonna let this play itself out and then quietly let him go.
So anti-climactic. I guess what he really needed to do to go out with a bang is take a picture of his bulge while also tapping his foot under a stall in a random mens room. And then send it to an intern. Like Republicans do. THAT'S how you create a scandal.

Republicans gets nailed on this stuff because they frequently run on "family values" platforms, and everybody loves/hates a hypocrite. Spitzer, a Democrat, got hit hard for similar reasons.

The Weiner scandal has already convinced the MSM that he must be a Republican.

Photo was pretty disappointing. In my mind, "bulging" implied something more spectacular than an average "semi". Looks like a "just woke up" shot.

Ugh, another one. While I understand being frustrated by the different treatment that Dems and Repubs get with this type of scandal, I agree with MonicaP’s point. I generally really don’t give a crap what anyone does in their own private lives unless they are doing it to an unwilling partner. However, I do get riled up with someone who tries to push their version of “family values” on the rest of us and then get busted doing the exact things they want to throw the rest of us in jail for. I hadn’t heard Weiner trying to push any of that crap so I don’t really give a crap what he does or doesn’t do in his spare time. But I saw the little clip with him talking about “certitude” and it does turn the stomach. It would be much better to run with a line like “I don’t recall sending that pic.” Then when pressed over whether it was a pic of him he could really use a version of Amy’s funny quip and I seriously wouldn’t give a crap. For example he could say “Hey, it’s a hobby of mine to take pictures of my junk in my spare time. I’m not sure if this particular one is of me, my collection is extensive, but if it is either someone hacked my computer to get the pic and send it, or I did it by accident when trying to send it in a private message to my wife/mistress/boyfriend/call girl/whatever. Sorry for the disruption, I’ll try to keep better tabs on my collection from here on out.” The people who would be horrified by that are already horrified by his "certitude" response and the rest of us would just laugh for a couple of minutes and move on.
ak at June 2, 2011 8:52 PM
The Dems also push family values. Lets not kid ourselves that Rep's are the only ones pushing thier family values on us. Only the families they push more are the families that are bleeding the country dry. Like the welfare momma's and broke ass unemployed baby daddies who can't pay child support. No thanks. I'll stick to the pushing of secular family values thanks. At least they have to pay taxes for it. Democrat or Republican, they are all a bunch of hypocrites.

What if the American people learn the truth: that our foreign policy has nothing to do with national security and that it never changes from one administration to the next?

Insanity passed off as logic; grandiose schemes built on falsehoods with the morality of Ponzi and Madoff; evil described as virtue; ignorance pawned off as wisdom; destruction and impoverishment in the name of humanitarianism; violence, the tool of change; preventive wars used as the road to peace; tolerance delivered by government guns; an empire replacing the Republic; slavery sold as liberty; We have broken from reality--a psychotic Nation.
