Tonight On Advice Goddess Radio: Dr. Peter Jonason On Bad Boys, Booty Calls, And The Double Standard
Dr. Peter Karl Jonason is a really smart and insightful young social-personality psychologist who studies the dark sides of human mating, and who I was determined to have on my show after hearing him present his work at evolutionary psychology conferences I've attended.
A little more about Jonason, who's now teaching at the University of Western Sydney:
I am a social-personality psychologist who takes an evolutionary approach to personality, individual differences, mating behavior, and sex differences.
He'll be on my radio show on Sunday night, 7 p.m. Pacific time, 10 p.m. Eastern, for an hour, and WE NEED YOUR CALLS!
Listen live at this link (or use it to download the podcast afterward -- click "play in your default player" to download to your iPod, etc.):

Hmm. In the thread regarding the 9-year-old being suspended or whatever for calling his teacher "cute", how about a few words on how the victim mentality has been extended such that women apparently cannot say "no" - or act properly to limit or halt the advances of misguided people?
Lots of kids have crushes on older people. That's one of the ways horrible adults can take advantage of them. Yet nobody seems to notice there are degrees here, where it's just cute that little Suzi thinks her math teacher's muscles are awesome because Mr. Teacher knows damned well the best thing for little Suzi is for her to get over it and learn about the real world with someone she can grow with. Police need not be summoned.

I've recently heard some interesting stuff on the Omega male, love to hear more on that from an ev psych viewpoint...

He's smart and a snappy dresser. :-) You know I can't call in at the show time...but I'd be interested if he has a take on why women seem to like the show Dexter (and the lead of the same name) so much...considering the psychopathy he exhibits. Can you tell I've been reading EP takes on pop culture lately? :-)
