The Pothead-In-Chief
Mike Riggs writes at reason about the President's shifting views on pot:
Obama did not turn against pot smoking as an adult, he turned against it at the point in his political career when he had the most power to change policy. As a state congressman in Illinois, Obama declared the drug war a failure. He said the same thing as a U.S. Senator. As a candidate for president, he condemened (and promised to stop) medical marijuana raids. Really, Obama did not come to favor prohibition until he became president.

War on drugs = DEA = political contributions from organized labor. It's simple, really.

Penn Jillete said it better.
I hate stoners, I hate pot smokers, but I hate more then those morons is a "look at me I am cool I smoked and inhaled doob", but now lets lock anybody else up who does it hypo-fucking-critical ASSHOLE.
Even worse is he used the promise of an attitude change is possible. But when States changed their laws, where the hell is his voice and power to stand and help with those that he supposedly supports.
This is the same way I felt about when Bush Jr decided that free trade was crap and decided to put a tariff on steel. Make up your fucking mind. Choose a side of the fence and stick with it. Well if you do change, give a God damn good reason. No sticking your hands in your pocket and going aww shucks things where different back then.
I forgot he is an politician who will flip flop for any reason for the most votes. Maybe he can "evolve" "again" on his outlook with pot.
