Can't help but feel that's unfortunate. I actually went to high school with Muslims. Surprisingly, they seemed pretty much like the rest of us. "As unwelcome as this sentiment is, it's a shame that he broadbrushed all Muslims with this."
Here is a difference. When a Jew or christian does something stupid and violent 99% of other Jews and Christians will LOUDLY condemn it.
When Muslims do something violent very few Muslims condemn it. The few that condemn it don't do it loudly because they are afraid of the others,
Not all Muslims in the world are terrorists; however, almost all of the terrorist actions in the world are caused by Muslims.
The "Peaceful" Muslims need to loudly speak out and work with the police to stop the violent Muslims.
"As unwelcome as this sentiment is, it's a shame that he broadbrushed all Muslims with this."

As Amy has documented repeatedly here, the doctrine of Islam does not allow for any such concept as a "moderate Muslim". Barring an Islamic reformation, which I don't see happening, "moderate Muslim" is a contradiction in terms. Very few Muslims will openly condemn or work to stop Islamic terrorism because, well, if they did they wouldn't be Muslims anymore.

Patrick,
The same sign was in 4 of the 12 photos, with the same guy holding it 3 times. A fourth person held it the last time. If that is apologizing -- bite me.
Benghazi was a planned attack on 9/11. The two SEALs that were killed were actually CIA agents, but reacting with the normal skills they have. The consulate is basically a house with a regular lock and key. Obama had a 48 hour notice that the attack was going to happen.
I'm tired of Muslims declaiming the the attack afterward.
The I.R.A. was killing people left and right way back when. What happened when the rest of the Irish citizens told them that it was not acceptable -- a long standing peace broke out.
Al Qaeda attacked us in 1993 with the first WTC bombing. We had a reasonable response. We jailed the Blind Sheik and others but did not go out and kill many. We used a scalpel in response to that.
Then when Iraq took over Kuwait we went in and kicked Iraq's butt, but stopped at the Kuwaiti border. The Kuwaiti military in the 90's was smaller than the NYPD. We were the bad guys until we won.
Yes, we went into Iraq and Afghanistan post-9/11, but guess what Qaddafi stopped listening to us; and Al Qaeda was hiding in Afghanistan.
So now 10 more years down the line they haven't learned. I can't forgive them anymore. Their belief in God gives them no right to rape, kill, pillage, riot, or any other uncivilized act
> As Amy has documented repeatedly here, the

The doctrine of Christianity doesn't allow for moderation either. But somehow a lot of Baptists and Methodists manage it... If you're comfortable with your local Christian church, shouldn't you expect to be comfortable with a well-tamed Islam?
If not, exactly what do you think the world is going to be like?
And what part are you personally going to play in the carnage you portend? Name names; designate your targets and describe your weapons.
I don't understand why people need to depict this as an exotic threat. The fight has been going on for thousands of years... And most of our adversaries don't know how to read, or how to absorb expertise of any kind. And you're afraid?
Why do we now need to be so bloodthirsty or defeatist?

Actually, maybe you missed the nuance. The Bible is a historical document, to be taken as such. We are not supposed to go out and slaughter the Midianites or people who wear two different fabrics, or the adulterous neighbor's wife. The Bible is also allegory.
The Quran is to be taken literally as the word of god, and the barbaric Mohammed's actions, in the Hadith, are to be emulated. That's Mohammed the child-fucking rapist, mass-murderer and looter. He makes Che Guevara look like a piker.
And I will continue to defend my friends that I went to school with, who are Muslims. -- Patrick at September 23, 2012 5:57 PM
Defend them all you like. But are they at all embarrassed by what their distant cousins did and have done? Are they saying to the distant cousins "This is not acceptable."?
Be as tolerant as you like -- until they kill you. If you want to be Neville Chamberlain and not look at reality -- go for it. I'd rather be Winston Churchill.
Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Acctually a good number of jewish scholars consider anything before King David to be fable and myth, and most chirstians consider the loaws of the old testimtnet to have been superceeded by Jebus
Well, Luke 5 shows Jesus upholding at least some of the laws of Moses:
12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
But the dietary laws have been superseded, which is why Christians can eat pork, play football and wear polyester (although the latter was a mistake; I think polyester should be a sin). Colossians 2:
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

The number of abortion clinic bombings is few. There is a difference between standing outside a clinic holding a sign and actively killing, raping, pillaging, and murdering.
Why is there a difference -- as much Christian anti-abortionists dislike it -- they realize that killing abortionists is not a civilized act.
I don't think I know any muzzies, at least I don't know any muzzies that will admit it around me. My feelings are no secret - I don't have much time left and I'm willing to do the job myself and not have the younguns have to do it.
