Emailed message sent to me Sunday -- arrived 24-plus hrs later, "via the LG Nitro™ HD, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone."
Memo to sender: Next time, forget AT&T; send a note on a mule.

Whoops...technical failure. The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

Ah, the bad old days. When email used to take 4-5 days to propagate around the UUCP network, and I used to set up cronjobs at work that would run all weekend to download about 200K of source code from a public FTP site. The first threading Usenet readers were developed largely because highly variable propagation delays (minutes if you were direclty connected to ARPAnet, weeks for some edge-of-the-network sites) made absolute hash of non-threaded topics.
