"LESSONS YOU CAN LEARN BOTH FROM BIKER AND A CAGER
"FOR CAGERS: Let the bikers pass in front of you. They are faster than your car. They will be gone in minutes. Attacking a biker means you are attacking the whole group. Remember bikers riding together are like family. They will protect each other no matter what. They will not do any harm if you dont intimidate them.
"FOR BIKERS: give extra lane to cagers. If they ram you, you will be hurt more even if its not your fault.

"Alexian Lien's Range Rover was surrounded by several bikers on the West Side HighwayNew york city on Sunday. One biker apparently cut the driver off and slammed on the brakes just before the SUV bumped his rear tire. But when Lien — who was driving his wife, Rosalyn, and their 5-month-old child — stopped, several bikers began to damage his SUV. Lien fled, striking one biker. But the group caught up to him and pummeled him before cops arrived."

Lessons for bikers: if you threaten a family in a car and try to force them to stop and start attacking the car, they're going to floor it and get out of there, over you if necessary. Don't be the prototypical violent asshole on 2 wheels, and you'll be just fine.
I would've run their asses over before letting them force me to stop the first time.

I'll agree with that, M4.
Another Lesson for Bikers (and anyone else): Pursuing someone with the intent of taking down their plate number for the police might be acceptable. But you don't get to chase someone's car down a public street, putting everyone else in the road at risk, pull them from their car and start beating them. I don't know if the guy should have been charged or not, but these thugs didn't exactly help things by taking the law into their own hands.

Patrick,
Thanks for the Slate link. I'm straight out of Seinfeld. No hugs and no kisses.

JFP, you're most welcome. I would have posted it yesterday, but Amy didn't have a links thread up that day.

Those guys on the bikes are a bunch of thugs. I feel bad for the family of the guy who was injured so badly. Unfortunately, the consequences he and his family will live with are a direct result of the other asshats he associates himself with. This wasn't a group of guys who were out for a Sunday ride to enjoy the fresh air. They were intent on being the biggest douches they could possibly be.
During a five-month period stretching from February to July, Boehner and his aides sought along with Reid’s office to solve what had become a big headache for both of them. They drafted and reviewed a possible legislative fix, as well as continued to push for an administrative one from the Office of Personnel Management.
Boehner aides insist there was never any intention to move legislation through the House to correct the problem. McConnell was also opposed to any legislation approach to the controversy, said spokesman Don Stewart.
Boehner and Reid, however, went so far as to ask to meet with President Barack Obama to lobby him personally for help — using a cover story in order to protect the secrecy of the discussions, according to these documents.
Good. I never have to hug anyone again. Suits me fine.

Rick Perry, your wife is not your property. She can speak for herself.
Patrick at October 2, 2013 12:17 AM
Yes, Rick Perry's wife knew what she was saying. She did not misspeak. Bet that's a fun marriage.
And I don't mind not hugging anyone again, either.
In the meantime, I plane to disobey this regulation.
