Minnesota Pastor: "The Devil Was Inside" The Girls He Raped
Oh, and I guess he figured there was no better tool to root the fella out than his big erect penis.
Andres Jauregui writes for the HuffPo:
A "self-proclaimed" pastor in Minnesota has been charged with the rape of two girls.Jacoby Kindred, 61, is accused of sexually abusing the daughters of his son's girlfriend beginning when they were only six years old. According to a criminal complaint obtained by the Pioneer Press, Kindred, a pastor with One Accord Ministries, told one victim that "the devil was inside her and he could take the demons out of her."
KARE 11 reports that the alleged abuse "involved fondling, oral stimulation, and rape," and took place mostly at Kindred's Maplewood, Minn., home, while the victims, now 14 and 16, stayed over. Kindred is said to have abused the girls for more than a decade.
Police began their investigation in July after the girls' mother said she found out about a letter written by one of her daughters that described sexual acts with Kindred.
He claims he's been falsely accused but the fact that this reportedly came out after the mother of one of the victims read a letter written by one of her daughters detailing the sex acts with Kindred.

I don't believe in capital punishment.
I have to remind myself of that fact when I read stories like these.

By the way, I also clicked on the slideshow at the bottom of the page you linked, and sifted through the images of student-teacher sex scandals.
Notice anything?

I do believe in capital punishment.
But with people like this life imprisonment works better. They are either kept segregated and in isolation or if in the general population turned into someone's bitch after being sampled by multiple others.

And, of course, the ONLY way he knew to drive out the devil was to baptize it with his holy spunk.
Capital Punishment isn't a player here. Surgical Castration, OTOH. . . .

Patrick, most of them were women, unattractive, from Texas, and didnt teach real subjects?

Isn't it funny how often God tells his priests to go molest pretty young girls and how rarely he tells them to mind their own business?

Jim P. I do believe in capital punishment.
Well, you're just wrong, then.
Lori: Isn't it funny how often God tells his priests to go molest pretty young girls and how rarely he tells them to mind their own business?
And how often he tells Catholic priests to molest little boys, and how often he tells the Church to just relocate the offending priests and sweep it under the rug?

With all our hearts and all our might, it's important that we be as terrified as possible of the forces of evil and darkness unleashed by a single goofball in "Maplewood, Minnesota," a trend-setting community if ever there was one, a place identified in our discussions oh-so-often as the shimmering locus of human refinement…
…It's not just an unremarkable assault between unremarkable people…
…Because it happened in Maplewood, this story is portentous, Bub, and don't you forget it!
We need to draw as much meaning out of this as possible.

OK, there were kids involved. I feel bad.
But this has little to do with churches, and more to do with isolation.
Hie the to a pew, I say... BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE AFRAID OF THEM.

Well thank you for being the final arbiter of everyone's opinion. I'll be sure to consult you on the rest of my opinions some time after the sun burns down to a white dwarf.
Have a good day.

Thanks, Jim P. I got a good laugh out of the response!
Patrick at December 14, 2013 4:05 PM
As above, so below. Before the Long Dark Night of the White Dwarf comes the Red Giant Burning Times. Now that's portentous!
I dunno, it just tickled my fancy.

This story is about a grandfather who molested his grandchildren.
If he were an architect, his profession would not lead the headline.
To echo Crid, but for the fact that Kindred is a pastor (albeit a "self-proclaimed" one), this would be an unremarkable story of familial abuse ignored by the major media.
But he is a pastor! The media's gotta protect us from them hypocritical religious types just itchin' to get their hands on our kiddies. They're all over, even in Maplewood, Minnesota.
What exactly is a "self-proclaimed" pastor?
Jacoby Kindred (aka Jacoby Preacherman) is described in most of the stories about him as a "self-proclaimed pastor" with something called the One Accord Ministries.
Did he attend divinity school? Did he speak in tongues or so impress a congregation with his piety and wisdom that they asked him to preach regularly to them?
The stories seem intentionally vague on his actual ministry and church affiliation.
==============================
Maplewood, population 38,000+, is 10 minutes from St. Paul and is home to the corporate headquarters of 3M Corporation, but is otherwise seems pretty run-of-the-mill.

Correction - alleged to have molested....
This is still an accusation - although his statements to the press in his own defense really don't seem to be helping his case.
