Lileks speaks the horrible truth about Sbarro. At some point last decade their quality standards took a nose dive. The last few times I had Sbarro pizza, the crust tasted like wet carboard, and the toppings were uncontaminated by flavor.
The Washington Post believes that Sarah Palin is still relevant. I disagree. Her endorsement did not help John McCain, and she probably single-handedly ruined his chances of winning.
As far as I'm concerned, she serves no purpose other than to rankle the supporters on this blog.
Post anything about her, and watch Jim P., Radwaste, Charles and others go completely off the deep end.
Though nothing beats the rant about her husband (who was never mentioned) and how handsome he is (his hairstyle is out of the 80's, a la David Hasselhoff in Knight Rider). (He has an evil-looking smile. And how much of a "man's man" he is, despite the fact that this father of five hasn't worked since 2009, and that, despite the fact that he's almost 50, he still calls himself a "dude."
He's about as much of a "man's man" as K-Fed.
Well, that should get the Palinophiles adequately rankled. I'll check back later to see how well my puppets have danced.
My favorite thing about Sarah Palin is watching lefties have seizures about her. I think that's what she's for.

No she didnt. People were sick of Bush and the republicans. The Reps could have had Jesus Christ himself descend from the heavens on live TV and moonwalk across the pond at the mall. And the Dems could have sprung Charles Manson and had him rape and eat a baby next to moonwalking Jesus. And Manson would have won.
About the only chance McCain would have had is if he had offered the VP to Clinton on live TV publicly the moment she lost the primary, and made a statement about inclusiveness and working together.
He probably still would have lost, but it would have fractured the democratic party
“EPA appears more interested in intimidating and bankrupting Mr. Johnson than it does in working cooperatively with him,” the senators noted of the severe fines Johnson faces. “…Fairness and due process require that EPA base its Compliance Order on more than an assumption. Instead of treating Mr. Johnson as guilty until he proves his innocence by demonstrating his entitlement to the Clean Water Act section 404(f)(1)(C) stock pond exemption, EPA should make its case that a dam was built and that the Section 404 exemption does not apply. As it stands now, EPA’s failure to demonstrate in detail how Mr. Johnson’s building activities constituted the construction of a dam prejudices his opportunity to meaningfully respond to the Compliance Order.”

The comment of a small person, aka pissant. Patrick, the delusional pissant, thinks he speaks from some authority with regards to the Palins. Oh little one, Sarah is more of a man than you. Do you realize how little you look trying to belittle her husband?

Thank you, Dave B. You didn't disappoint. I shall now derive great pleasure, the next time you say anything bad about anyone, calling you out on your hypocrisy. I expect it will happen in less than a week. Or is it only the people that can't be belittled, while others deserve it? Let me know when you settle on the rules.
As for belittling anyone, it makes no one look any greater or smaller than those who would build him up. I was actually rocking in my chair with laughter the first time I said anything about Sarah Palin, then someone launched into a tirade about how wonderful Sarah Palin was. Then inexplicably, started talking about Todd, calling him a "man's man," telling me how "handsome" he was... On a scale of ten, I'd give him a five. He's okay, but he doesn't do it for me. (He obviously doesn't work out, and has a scary looking smile.) And how many liberal women wish they had a man like Todd Palin.
Don't tell me; let me guess. The person who said those things wasn't being petty at all. Doesn't even know the guy personally, or anything about him, but decided he's a real man, and demeans all liberal women by suggesting they couldn't possibly have husbands as attractive as Todd Palin. (How shallow can you get?) And let's not forget, he introduced Todd Palin to the conversation in the first place. But I'm not allowed to respond to all this disgusting gushing, which came across like he was planning on having an affair with the guy?
So, if someone calls someone attractive or a real man, I'm not allowed to disagree with that assessment, otherwise I'm being petty? Got it.
I'd guard yourself against making any comments about anyone's looks, dude. You'll be owned on your hypocrisy, big time.
Thanks for the response. It was delectable.
P.S. Sarah is more of a man? It might be worth it to dig into your motivations behind that comment, because it's obvious you have some very sexist expectations of what a man is supposed to be and what a woman is supposed to be. You did not pay Sarah Palin a compliment with that remark, nor did you degrade me, little one. Instead, you just showed your sexist ass.

Oh, shucks. Shaking the bush here, boss. Hey pissant, your PDS commands you to write a lot of words - too bad it is just you whining. It must suck for you to know Todd is rich and you are not. Life is just not fair for the little pissant Patrick.

This administration evidently has a vindictive streak. Michelle Bachman may be moving from Congress to prison.
