Here's The TSA Guy Who Was Supervising Your Child's Groping
From New York's ABC station, a TSA supervisor, Vernon Lythcott, was arrested at JFK, accused of having sex with two 15-year-olds in the Dominican Republic in January:
According to the criminal complaint, Lythcott used the help of a Dominican man to lure the teens from the beach into a van, promising them money and gifts. He's accused of having sex with both girls several times.
At one point in a hotel, Lythcott and two other men forced one of the girls in a room where they all sexually assaulted her.
The victims say Lythcott paid them $80.
Friday morning at JFK, federal agents arrested Lythcott who works as a TSA supervisor.
He was on the jetway trying to board a flight back to the Dominican Republic.
Law enforcement sources tell Eyewitness News Lythcott's arrest is part of a larger crackdown on child exploitation.
The TSA released the following statement:
"The agency is currently in the process of terminating his employment. At this time, he is on indefinite suspension. "TSA holds its employees to the highest ethical standards and expects all TSA employees to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism. These alleged crimes are egregious and intolerable."
The reality: The TSA is too busy feeling up your vagina to care about who they're hiring.
Also, they know you're a criminal. Why else would you be flying to see your grandma on Mother's Day?

Given the US has no jurisdiction over the Dominican Republic, what crime do they plan on charging him with?

We don't have any jurisdiction in the DR.
But we do have laws against traveling abroad and having sex with minors. We can debate the wisdom of those laws, but the law is the law.
I'm all for extraditing him to DR and letting them take care of things. I guess making it against US law keeps him from paying off a judge or three and getting away with, but there is no crime committed on US soil.

Age of consent in the DR is 18, so they could have charged him.
And while I do advocate for executing those who work for the TSA for treason, laws like this allow the US government to charge people for things that may not even be crimes in the country they commit them

I can just see the prosecutors opening statement
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, it is crime to go to a foreign country and not break their laws."

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, it is crime to go to a foreign country and not break their laws."
There are lots of situations in which U.S. citizens abroad must obey U.S. law even though what they are doing is legal under local law. Examples: paying of income taxes, endangered-species laws, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Fuck that.
Under that theory US citizens should obey UN laws even if when US laws are less severe

"TSA holds its employees to the highest ethical standards and expects all TSA employees to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism"
I like to barfed there.

DR govt will likely not do anything. Their parents will likely not do anything. The poverty is so horrifying down there that parents routinely pimp out their daughters to rich Europeans and Americans until they're no longer fresh and young looking. We've seen it on our missions trips, the bloated pale men and the stunningly gorgeous young girls, all dressed up with loaner clothing and jewelry, the men strutting around like the girls are with them for nothing but their manhood. It's heartbreaking when the girls are tossed aside at the end of the vacation and the moms try to freshen them up for the next tourist sugar daddy. But these girls make enough in a month to support the family for a year.

That suck if the DR government wont do anything. But why then should the US government prosecute you for crime committed outside its jurisdiction?
What if 5 yrs from now it comes out that the resort you vacationed at overseas served fish the US government considers endangered? Should they be allowed to fine you 10 grand and throw your ass in jail?
