Fight The...Fashion Police?
Idiots in New York stage a protest...at...Macy's?
Who lost out? Any employees who work on commission.
Yeah, that'll teach those cops!

Well, their first choice location for a media-genic "die-in" was that karate school up by Harlem.
But they changed their minds because bus schedules.
And stuff.

But it's warm and well-lit in there. And warm. And they don't sell any keffiyehs so they probably aren't down with the movement, anyway.

I live a very liberal city in a very blue state. There was one of these p̶r̶o̶t̶e̶s̶t̶s̶ tantrums last Friday night during rush hour.
Other than hassling people who probably already agree with you what is the point to these? Nothing but utter vanity. Look how much I care. I'm doing something!
I know my single parent sister was late to her second job. Good work assholes.

And there is video out showing these nuts checking their phones...
They'd wet themselves if they had to protest in Selma 40 years ago.

In rather amusing news, a friend went downtown in Los Angeles on Friday to participate in a protest. And FYI, as a strong free speech supporter, I think that's great, although I think blocking traffic is counterproductive. (This wasn't a traffic-blocking protest.) Well, she got down there and saw about 300 cops and not one protester. She couldn't find parking and ended up just turning around and going back home (and feeling really dumb).
I looked up the protest downtown in LA when I got home on Friday night and it said "Dozens of protesters." What, by end of day, did 20 people amass?
The truth is, here, traffic rules. Probably nobody wanted to drive downtown. I sure don't blame them.

By all means, protesters, continue. If, of course, you want to hurt your cause. Which, apparently, is Mob justice as opposed to the due process of law.
And what IS it, with this "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" bit ? There's a ton of evidence that it NEVER happened.
Hey, America, how about being fact-based ??

Why would anyone let the facts get in the way of their "outrage"?

For most of the protesters the cause is pretext. The point or purpose is recreation and entertainment. They're enjoying themselves.

Actually, in NYC, Macy's has been the target of several race-baiting incidents in the last few years. So, that the "protesters" would chose to do something there doesn't surprise me.
Charles at December 8, 2014 5:17 PM
"what did Macy's have to do with it?"
These demonstrators didn't like the cops using it on other protestors.
