What I don't get is if rape apologists are so sure rapes are hoaxes, why oppose investigating them and getting out that fact?

.@AmandaMarcotte Rapes absolutely should be investigated - by the police, not by a college student in flip-flops who's late to poli-sci

It was Rolling Stone that failed to investigate this latest crisis, not the University of Virginia. See marion at December 6, 2014 9:47 PM: Anyone who wants to get cranked about campus rape is welcome to do so on a factual basis... You'll have far too much to work with.
Ever'buddy on the same page now? Great. Be sure and see the Marion comment.Hello Planet: I am fifty-five fucking years old. Time is dear: Don't bother me with anything that isn't real.
And remember:

And, after you've read the Marion comment, let me add this thought...
Every few months, Iowahawk does a tweet like this. What it means is, basically, we are dealing with forces of nature here. .. Immutable laws governing the human condition. "Austerity," with respect to government policy, basically means that whoever used to trust you to pay back the money has lost that faith. You're on your own.
Feminism is like that. If you're going to live in a modern country, it is going to be feminist. There is no option. There is no second prize. We don't have to worry on behalf of feminism.
So when you read the Marion comment, try to understand that. The people in academic and media circles who have "Feminist! Rilly!" printed on their business cards don't have much to do with the forward motion of human culture, or of female human beings. They're just riding the coattails... Glomming on to something important, and doing so without intellectual or experiential participation in what is arguably the greatest human revolution in the past ten thousand years.
Ok, fine. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

"We don't have to worry on behalf of feminism."
Good, 'cause I stopped worrying about that long ago. More than equality, more than freedom, people, of both sexes, want security. Unfortunately, there ain't none.

I love how those who didnt believe the "victim" are still rape apologizers even though there never was a rape
2nd I replied
@AmandaMarcotte not the investigation they oppose, its cunts like U 'convicting' the accused in public sans trial, like U did w/Duke lacrosse

Then you have articles like this : http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2014/12/why-we-believed-jackies-story-113365.html?hp=t4_r#.VISgan48KrV
Basically, she says that even though UVA students saw that the article was riddled with falsehoods and mischaracterizations of their school, it still rings true because "it could" happen.
This kind of thinking baffles me.

> Unfortunately, there ain't none.
Lizzie, I believe the correct wording is "There's ain'ts be none."
Also, how did you get to be so sensible?
(I'd wager as follows: 80% chance you had a good & loving family, with 20% chance you had other supportive circumstances and tremendous individual strength. Some mix like that.)
"Rape culture" ninnies are so far removed from anything like a genuine hazard that they let their imaginations do the work of their horse sense.
Remember that Ferguson protester who got hit by a car in Minneapolis two weeks ago? The RS/UVa crisis somehow reminds me of that. Those protesters literally believe that in a just society, they should be safe while playing in traffic. These rape culture 'feminists' seriously believe that they can describe the threats in their world however they like... And the rest of us should be compelled to agree, without evidence, that whatever they can put in a sentence is truth.

"Women who aren't in college when they get raped are much more numerous and no less deserving of your concern."
Hmm, you're right... another example of what is known in the media as "cute young white girl syndrome". (The maxim that e.g. kidnap stories are only interesting if the victim is a cute young white girl.)
