How It Was Before Feminists Shoved The World's Head Up Its Ass

Watching a Hepburn-O'Toole movie, counting the failures to obtain affirmative consent.
My reply:
@amyalkon
Any guy who tried to obtain "affirmative consent" from me was dismissed.

A lot of women have rape fantasies. How do feminists explain this?
I personally have Steve McQueen fantasies before he got fat as fuck. In the back of his GT500 would be preferable.

They cant, explaining them requires rational thought, the capacity to understand simple scientific explanations, and a lack of willingness to ignore objective reality.
Feminists are incapable of all three

Ppen, I have a line like this (of mine) in my notes file for my column:
"Yes, some of us ladies do have rape fantasies, but they generally involve someone like Clive Owen holding us down in a suite at the Four Seasons."

You really don't know? For someone as smart as you, I'm shocked! (OK, I assume you were just kidding when you pretended to be ignorant.)
But if anyone else doesn't realize this...
It's very simple. As the authors spelled out in their classic guide for teens "Changing Bodies, Changing Lives," within a fantasy, you have absolute control over everything that does or doesn't happen. It's the opposite with real-life rape. Therefore, having a rape fantasy (or any other non-vanilla fantasy, for that matter) doesn't mean you'd ever want it to happen in real life. (If vampires existed, would even a fan of such romance novels really want to be involved with one? I doubt it.)
Also, while we're talking about fantasy vs. reality: The 1968 movie "Dracula Has Risen From the Grave" used to be on Youtube in several parts. One scene shows Veronica Carlson, in bed, being approached by Christopher Lee. Before biting her, he caresses her cheeks with his cheeks. One (female?) commentator said: "Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's very seductive if done right, but if my boyfriend did that to me I'd burst out laughing."
Quotes from CB,CL:
"Rape fantasies often reflect a person's anxieties about the violence they know exists."
"Since the confusing messages in our society make many teenagers feel guilty about having sexual desires, sometimes the easiest way to picture having sex with someone is to imagine that it is being forced on you."

Assuming you mean the dead actor and not the living director...
Personally, I always thought he was very unattractive in a certain Anglo-Saxon way. (Which may well explain why he seemed to be more popular in the U.K. than in the U.S.)
But I can certainly understand the appeal of any number of actors who played James Bond.
lenona at January 3, 2015 7:16 AM
And, I would add that maybe adult females don't really need the protections of affirmative consent, but teen girls AND boys alike certainly often do.
Example: Since anti-gay sentiments are hardly a thing of the past, and many heterosexuals still don't take gay people's right to boundaries seriously, many a girl feels justified in sexually harassing a gay boy, since she believes he just needs a "good experience" with a girl to convert him.
lenona at January 3, 2015 7:22 AM
lenona I do mean the dead actor. No clue why but even as a teen I found him alluring. He's not my usual type.
The living director strikes me as a closeted homosexual. There is this great pic of him making out with Michael Fassbender.

Yeah there is another pic with a different angle and it strikes me as Steve enjoying it a tad bit more than Michael.
Which reminds me of all the rumors of how Tyler Perry casts his movies and why it's always the light skinned black guys getting the leading roles.
Ppen at January 3, 2015 8:13 AM
Oh and he tried to do it to Brad Pitt too! But dude managed to dodge it.

The can't explain it because, as everyone knows, if a person has a fantasy about something it means they want it to happen to them (or want to cause it to happen) in real life.
So, for example, a girl who fantasizes about being fucked by her cousin, really wants to be fucked by her cousin and a guy who fantasizes about killing his boss really wants to kill his boss.

Perhaps because he was the epitome of effortless cool ... and a total prick.
The Magnificent Seven was supposed to be Yul Brynner's film, but Steve McQueen made sure to upstage Brynner in every scene. From IMDB:

You're right Conan. I always liked that he never really smiled too.

Steve got taste of his own medicine in Papillon. Dustin Hoffman upstaged him. Anyhow, the best Bromance ever.

Love that movie Chang.
But yeah Steve was always just an actor playing himself.
Ppen at January 3, 2015 9:44 PM
"Love that movie Chang."
I always wondered if the audience thought the Steve's character was free now but not Dustin's.
But I think that both were free.
If the island prison is where you want to be, you are at home.
Another terrific Bromance is "Midnight Cowboy". I watched about thousand times.

Steve McQueen fat? That never happened!

jerry at January 4, 2015 8:08 PM
To me, Mcqueen is Le Mans. Not just the movie itself, but the fact that McQueen took Method acting to its logical conclusion and ran in the real race, and had a pretty good shot of winning it. Driving a Porsche 917, one of the most awesome and scariest motor vehicles ever built, down the Mulsanne at 200 MPH... now that's the definition of masculine.
